Counting down our top 10 voice care tips for :

#10 - Warm Up

You warm up before you do any sort of exercise… You should do the same before you start using your voice.
Your voice is powered by muscles, and muscles work better when they’re warmed up.

Before lots of speaking or singing, try warming up your body, breath, resonators and articulators, humming, and gentle pitch slides on a ng sound

Even 3–5 minutes can help your voice feel more flexible and less strained.

Warm up your voice before you expect it to perform.

• Hum
• Lip trill
• Pitch glide

#9 - Rest Your Voice

If you are talking all day without breaks, your voice notices.
Your vocal folds vibrate constantly when you speak, and they need recovery time.

Short breaks—even five minutes of silence—can help reduce vocal fatigue. Think of them as vocal power naps.

If your job involves a lot of talking, schedule mini vocal breaks throughout the day.

Take vocal breaks, your voice will thank you ⏸️

#8 - Focus on your breath

The breath is the power of the voice and the quality of the sound you are producing is only as good as the breath supporting it. Better breath support means less strain and more control.

When you breathe shallowly from the chest, your voice has to work harder.

But when you breathe lower, letting the abdomen soften and expand with the in-breath, you create better ground for sound.

The breath powers the voice so pay attention to it 🌬️

#7 - Avoid Shouting

Shouting is one of the fastest ways to stain and damage your voice. When you shout, your vocal folds collide with much more force. Do it often enough, and it can lead to irritation, swelling, or vocal fatigue.

Your voice should project—not fight to be heard. 🔊
