Module 5 and we practised hand reflexology for the very first time! 🙌✨

It was fascinating to discover how the hands, just like the feet, contain reflex points that correspond to different organs and areas of the body. While the techniques are similar, hand reflexology has its own unique feel. Some reflex points are smaller and some are bigger than on the feet, and often more sensitive, sometimes requiring a gentler touch, and because we use our hands every day, they can hold a lot of tension.

One of the biggest differences is accessibility—hand reflexology can be a great option for people who are uncomfortable having their feet touched or who have foot injuries or mobility concerns. It's also something that can be practised almost anywhere, making it a wonderful tool for relaxation and self-care.

Another step in our reflexology journey, and we're excited to keep building our skills! 💚

“I was keen to learn reflexology as an add-on to my reiki business and there were so many courses and learning options available but a key point for me was to find an accredited professional course that would mean that I would be professional reflexologist and trained to a regulatory standard. At that time, Caritas was the only professional reflexology school in the East Midlands and the only one in a wide radius that was accredited by the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). Excited to be attending the Sally Earlam Maternity Reflexology course this weekend at the Caritas School of Reflexology! 🌿✨👣🤰🏻

I’m really looking forward to deepening my knowledge of supporting pregnancy, birth and postnatal wellbeing through reflexology.
And seeing a few of my past learners 😘
The course covers specialised maternity reflexology techniques, supporting common pregnancy concerns, relaxation methods, and ways reflexology can help throughout the maternity journey.

Ever tried turning something simple into something surprisingly powerful? 👣✨

We had a bit of fun (and learning!) by drawing directly onto our feet to create 3D reflexology foot maps. Instead of looking at a flat diagram, this hands-on approach helped us actually see and feel where different reflex points are located.

By mapping the zones and pressure points onto a (live) foot, it became much easier to remember where the specific points are located.
It’s one thing to study reflexology on paper—but experiencing it in 3D brings a whole new level of awareness.

A creative, interactive way to learn… and definitely a conversation starter! 😊
