I think a lot of people feel caught off guard by the guilt that can come with having a good day while grieving.

You find yourself laughing at something or enjoying a moment… and then suddenly feel awful for it afterwards.

As though feeling okay for a little while somehow means you’re moving on too quickly or forgetting the person you love.

But grief doesn’t work in straight lines like that.
You can still miss someone terribly and have moments where life feels lighter too.

One does not cancel the other out.

Sometimes those small moments are simply your mind and body taking a breath from carrying so much for so long.

And honestly, that’s okay too.

If this feels familiar and you need some support through it, you’re always welcome to reach out for a chat.

New Service: Gentle Grief & Energy Healing

For anyone grieving the loss of a loved one, I’m now offering a gentle, nurturing session that supports both your heart and your nervous system.

Gentle Grief & Energy Healing blends two elements:

A compassionate space to speak about your loss A grounded, gentle conversation where you can share whatever feels present your loss, your emotions, your overwhelm, or simply the weight you’ve been carrying. You don’t need to have the right words - you can share whatever feels manageable at the time.

Energy healing to soothe your nervous system Using Reiki and intuitive healing, we support emotional release, calm overwhelm, and help your body settle into steadiness and safety - especially when your grief feels heavy or exhausting.

This session is ideal if you’re:
grieving a recent or past loss
feeling emotionally or energetically depleted
wanting gentle support without a full grief programme
drawn to healing but needing someone who truly understands grief
longing for a quiet, nurturing space to rest

Available in Nottingham or online with remote healing.

If this speaks to you, you’re welcome to book a session or arrange a free 10‑minute clarity call.

You don’t need the right words. You just need to come as you are.

I think one of the things that catches people off guard with grief is that it does not always look how they expected it to.

Sometimes people expect themselves to be upset all the time.
But actually, it can feel more like:
being exhausted for no obvious reason,
struggling to concentrate,
feeling irritated by little things,
or wanting to avoid everyone completely.

And because it doesn’t look how they imagined grief would look, they start worrying something is wrong with them.

But grief affects far more than emotions alone.
It affects your sleep, your nervous system, your concentration, your energy… everything really.

Which is why part of the work I do is helping people understand what’s actually happening underneath all of that, so they stop feeling like they’re coping with grief 'wrong'.

If this feels familiar and you need some support through it, you’re always welcome to reach out for a chat.

My ‘In The Glen’ meditation has been available as a free download on my website since January 2025, and I’m delighted to share that it’s now also live on Insight Timer.

I wanted to make it easier for more people to access, especially those who already use the app for their daily grounding or healing practices.

Inspired by the peaceful beauty of St Nectan’s Glen in Cornwall, this 17 -minute guided journey is for anyone feeling overwhelmed, weary, or weighed down by life’s challenges. If you’re navigating grief, stress, or simply need a gentle reset, this meditation blends nature based visualisation, angelic presence, and the soothing sound of running water to help ease emotional heaviness and restore clarity.

If you’d like to listen on Insight Timer, it’s now available there too. The link is in the comments – do go and check it out, take a listen, and follow me there too!

The second year of grief can be really challenging for some people when the reality of your loss starts to hit home.

This blog explains why this is and provides you with some gentle ways in which you can support yourself.

If this resonates with you, see the link in the comments to gain access to my latest blog or visit my website.

If you would like to have a 20-minute free clarity conversation to see how I can support you with your grief. Please DM me to arrange that.

Much love,
Lindsey 💜

One of the hardest parts of grief is how exhausting everyday life can suddenly feel.

Things that used to feel manageable can start taking far more energy than they ever did before.
Replying to messages.
Being around people.
Going to the supermarket.
Trying to focus on conversations.
Even making the smallest of decisions.

A lot of people start questioning themselves because they cannot understand why they feel so mentally and emotionally drained all the time.

But grief affects far more than emotions alone.
It affects your concentration, energy, sleep, patience and your nervous system too.

Sometimes your brain is simply trying to process far more than people around you realise.
And often, understanding that is the first step toward being a little gentler with yourself through it.

If this feels familiar and you need some support navigating it, you are welcome to reach out for a chat.

Talking everything through isn't the only way to feel better. With Integral Eye Movement Technique (IEMT) you don't have to.

It works by using gentle guided eye movements while you hold a difficult memory in mind. It interrupts the way your brain stores the emotional charge attached to that memory, so it starts to lose its intensity. The memory doesn't disappear, but it stops hitting the same way.

You don't have to explain yourself or retell the story and many people notice a difference after just one - four sessions.

If you're tired of carrying it, comment IEMT and I'll send you details to have a clarity call with me. Lindsey 💜
