The Sport Welfare Officer Network first launched in summer 2023.
The Network now has more than 60 officers based in Active Partnerships supporting safeguarding and welfare at their local sports club level.
The Ann Craft Trust is on the oversight group for this network. Sport Welfare Officers have a commitment to help create safer cultures through the establishment of local networks, educational opportunities, and through creating resources and toolkits.
Since October 2024 Sport Welfare Officers across England have supported over 5,000 clubs, helping them to create safe and positive environments for participants.
You can read more about the network, along with current campaigns and an upcoming webinar to discuss their work, here: https://www.anncrafttrust.org/sport-welfare-officer-network-where-are-we-now/
