An ingrown toenail can start as a minor irritation but quickly become extremely painful if left untreated. When the edge of the nail grows into the surrounding skin, it can lead to swelling, redness, infection and difficulty walking.
The image below shows an example of a severely infected ingrown toenail, where prompt professional treatment is important to relieve pain and prevent the problem from worsening.

Toe flex, available at General Foot Care provides a solution for covering fungal nail and nail damage. Once applied nail polish or gels can be added. Your nail will be cut and filed before the application to help to enhance the appearance.
