Notts Osteopathy Alex Szabo at Notts Osteopathy offers diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together.

One of the most rewarding parts of being an osteopath is seeing people return to doing the things they enjoy.

Whether that's walking further, sleeping better, getting back to sport, working comfortably or simply moving without constantly thinking about pain, every improvement matters.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave a review and share their experience. Your feedback means a great deal and helps others take that first step towards feeling better.

If you've been putting up with a problem for longer than you should, perhaps now is the time to see what could change.

How's your posture looking today?

If you've spent hours at a desk, hunched over a laptop or scrolling on your phone, your body may already be feeling the effects.

Poor posture can contribute to:

✔ Neck pain
✔ Shoulder tension
✔ Headaches
✔ Upper back discomfort
✔ General stiffness

The good news is that small changes can make a big difference. Regular movement, proper workstation setup and osteopathic treatment can all help reduce the strain modern life places on your body.

Your posture doesn't need to be perfect — but your body shouldn't have to work harder than necessary.

June is the month when many of us start spending more time outdoors.

Whether it's walking, cycling, gardening, playing with the children, enjoying a round of golf or planning days out with family and friends, summer is a time to get moving.

But if aches, pains or stiffness are making you think twice about doing the things you enjoy, it may be time to address the problem rather than simply putting up with it.

At Notts Osteopathy, we help people improve mobility, reduce discomfort and get back to doing more of what they love.

Don't let pain dictate your plans this summer.

Today is International Children’s Day 🌟

Did you know that osteopathy isn’t just for adults? We also support children and young people through many of the physical changes that occur during their growing years.

As children grow, their bodies develop rapidly, and sometimes issues with posture, movement, or musculoskeletal development can arise. Osteopathic treatment may help support healthy movement, improve comfort, and assist with conditions such as scoliosis.

Early assessment and appropriate management can make a real difference, helping children and adolescents stay active, comfortable, and confident as they grow.

If you have concerns about your child’s posture, mobility, or musculoskeletal health, we're always happy to answer your questions.

Happy Friday! ☀️

The hot weather is showing no signs of disappearing just yet, and while many of us are enjoying the sunshine, it can also highlight those aches, pains and niggles that have been quietly lurking in the background.

Whether it's gardening, long walks, DIY projects, sport, or simply sleeping awkwardly in the heat, your body can sometimes let you know it's not entirely happy.

So this weekend, remember to:
💧 Stay hydrated
🚶 Keep moving
🌳 Take breaks when you need them
🤸 Listen to what your body is telling you

And if pain or stiffness is stopping you enjoying the things you love, don't just put up with it. Osteopathic treatment may be able to help you move more comfortably and get back to doing what matters most.

Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! ☀️😊

Most people think of osteopathy as something you book for back pain, stiff joints or muscular tension… and yes, it can absolutely help with those things 👏

But osteopathy can also support the body in ways many people don’t realise — including helping with digestive discomfort and symptoms linked to IBS.

Our bodies are all connected. Tension, stress, posture, restricted movement and nervous system imbalance can all have an impact on how comfortably the digestive system functions.

By focusing on improving mobility, reducing tension and supporting the body’s natural balance, osteopathic treatment may help ease symptoms such as bloating, abdominal discomfort and general digestive tension 🌿

If digestive issues are affecting your day-to-day life and you’ve been feeling frustrated or uncomfortable, it may be worth exploring a different approach.

You don’t have to simply “put up with it” 💚

⭐ Patient Review ⭐

There’s nothing better than hearing how treatment is helping someone get back to moving more comfortably 💙

“I was recommended Alex by a work colleague. Following hip surgery I have struggled with a persistent limp…”

Recovering after surgery can take time, patience and the right support. It’s great to hear that after just three sessions, Phillipa is already noticing improvements and feeling more confident in her recovery journey 🙌

Every person’s recovery is different, but sometimes reassurance, guidance and the right techniques can make all the difference.

Thank you for your lovely words and recommendation, Phillipa 😊

If pain, mobility issues or ongoing discomfort are holding you back, we’re here to help.

The Bank Holiday weekend is nearly here… and whether you’re planning DIY projects, gardening, long walks, family days out, road trips or simply making the most of the extra day, don’t forget to look after yourself too.

It’s amazing how quickly a busy weekend can turn into “why does my back/neck/shoulder suddenly hurt?” 😅

A little reminder to pace yourself, lift carefully, take breaks and listen to your body — especially if you’re squeezing a week’s worth of jobs into three days!

And if the weekend leaves you feeling more ache than adventure… we’re here to help 💚
