Have you ever stopped to think how unsustainable our lives are?

Life is a constant juggling act. There aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything we feel like we need to do.

What if you could free up a big chunk of time every day? Say the time you do your 9-5?

And what if you could earn more money with this extra time than you could earn at your 9-5?

Would you put the time, effort, energy and commitment in to make it work?

If you’ve realised life is totally unsustainable as it currently is, and want to make some changes, let’s talk.

Comment TALK below and I’ll be in touch.

This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week. 9th–15th October. 🩶

For Jessie. Our precious middle child we never got to meet.

Yesterday would have been your 6th birthday, on the eve of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

We love you. We carry you. We speak your name.

If you’re holding a loss this week, however recent, however long ago, you are not alone in it. 🩶

I heard this song as I was listening to a new group tonight and thought this was worth a share.

This is a beautiful affirmation song that I think everyone needs in their lives when things are tricky.

I am love

I can love

I’m always enough

I’m more than enough

Always remember to be kind to yourself and take a few minutes to listen to this wherever you get your music.

Beautiful Chorus, Always Enough 🩶

We beg our kids to get off the iPads, forgetting that even when they play they are crazy loud!

They are having a blast with this today, which is so lovely. But my word, the noise of the trains and them screaming and shouting 😬

And yes it is 6pm and our youngest has been so totally engrossed, he hasn’t got washed and dressed today.

Anyone else’s kids find it impossible to play using inside voice? How do you get your SEND kids off technology?

Just a crystal-loving witch tending to her herb garden. 🌿🔮

Rosemary. A little vine I’m attempting to grow. Whatever that purple beauty is behind me, still learning.

This is the part of my life that fills my cup quietly. No agenda. No strategy. Just me, the plants, and something that feels a lot like peace.

I’ve always believed there’s something in slowing down enough to actually grow things. To be in nature rather than just near it. To live a little more in line with the seasons rather than just the calendar.

It’s a work in progress. The garden and the life.

But this little corner of it? This one’s mine. 🩶

Soon there will be proper raised beds for all me herbalicious beauties 😁 I cannot wait.

Must be the season of the witch 🧙

Food shop delivered. Before anything else, it's cleaning time.

Every single week without fail, this is the first thing I do when the shopping arrives.

I rinse all our fruit and veg in the 2.5pH acidic water. That's the one I use for cleaning surfaces, food, anything I want properly clean before it goes anywhere near my family.

Then into the strong alkaline water to rinse off.

And every single time, that water tells me exactly why I bother.

The colour of it when it's done. The bits floating in it. The stuff that was sitting on our food before we ate it.

It genuinely shocks me every time and I've been doing it for the past 18 months.

Small habit. Takes minutes. But knowing what's coming off our food before it goes in my kids' mouths? That's not something I'm willing to skip.

Drop WATER in the comments if you want to know more about how this works. 🩶

3 years ago today, me and the youngest went to meet and the rest of the breakfast show in a place called Willey.

This doesn’t seem like 5 minutes ago. And yet, here is the proof it was 3 years ago. I had just returned to work 3 days a week after maternity leave, and this week, I went back to 5 days a week as that little dude started school.

Time really does move in the blink of an eye. We get so caught up in all the things we need to do, all of the things that need to get done. The busyness of life.

Sometimes a memory like this stops you in your tracks and makes you realise how fast time is going, and how little time we appreciate being in the moment.

So use my memory as your reminder. Spend some time this weekend being present. Put down your phone. Stop worrying for a few minutes about the future. Just be present and grateful for everything you have in life.

September has already brought changes and new routines. And this week, the final change has begun.

I was so lucky post-maternity leave that I was able to work 18 hours in my corporate role across 3 days a week. It’s what was needed to take care of both of our kids needs whilst still keeping a roof over our heads. And I’m very grateful to my employer for allowing me to do that, when my contract is for a 40 hour week.

I also knew it wouldn’t last forever, and today, I start a new chapter of 30 hours a week across 5 days. Still a lot less than my colleagues, but it will be a shock to the system.

But this is why I am building a life beyond the 9-5. One day, I will be doing a very different reel about my first day being a business owner with multiple income streams and no employer. And that day will be incredible!

Stick around as I navigate making that possible!

My ramblings on mum guilt today before I head off for the weekend.

Why as mums do we feel guilty for taking time out? Is it just me?
