🥗🍅 It's Healthy Eating Week 🍓🥕

At Lodge Trust, healthy eating is on the menu all year round. Every week, some of our residents take part in a cooking class where they learn new recipes, develop cooking skills, and discover how to make delicious, nutritious meals using our own home-grown produce!

From trying new ingredients to building confidence in the kitchen, it's a fantastic way to promote independence, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyle choices.

As some of you may be aware, a few weeks ago (during the heatwave!) we were contacted by Matt & Jack who are family members of Jane who once lived here at The Lodge Trust.

🥾🏔️They had a mission of completing the 3 Peaks Challenge in under 24 hours and they wanted to raise money and donate the funds to The Lodge Trust! 🏔️🥾

We are so incredibly proud and grateful to let everyone know that they completed the challenge in 23 hours and 58 minutes!!! And not only that but they raised an incredible £1,112! 🙌🙏

Our café is part of a residential service for adults with learning disabilities, so alongside making great drinks and providing excellent customer service, you'll be helping create opportunities for people to learn new skills, build confidence, and be part of their local community.

This week we were contacted by Matt & Jack (father and son) who are family members of Jane who once lived here at The Lodge Trust.

They wanted to take on the challenge of doing the 3 peaks in under 24 hours in order to raise some money for The Lodge Trust so we can continue to support and give our residents a happy and fulfilled life, just like Jane had. 🏔️🏔️🏔️

Jane was a wonderful person and brought joy to all who knew her, she lived a great life here at The Lodge as you can see by some of the photos we have found in our archives!

Hi all,
Slightly different opening times this week.

Monday 25th - Closed
Tuesday 26th - Open - 9.30-16.00
Wednesday 27th - Open 9.30-16.00
Thursday 28th - Closed- We are having a party!
Friday 29th - Open 9.30-16.00

Parts of the play area are still closed awaiting repair however there are a few items open, and there is plenty of room in the park to run around and have fun and enjoys the sunshine. Plenty of plants, jams and crafts for sale too. See you soon!
