8 weeks. lots of big life changes and challenges 🤍
The last couple of months have been a good reminder that wellness doesn't always look the way we expect it to because real life really does happen and honestly, summer isn't always easy on our wellness. My 21 Day Summer Rebalance was something I loved seeing so many of you take part in this summer and it definitely helped keep me grounded too.
Because we had:
🏠 A fresh start… but a lot of disruption.
We moved house, bringing new routines, new timings and a whole new area to learn.
🦶 This one definitely wasn't in the plan…
I fell down the stairs and injured my ankle, meaning my usual exercise routine had to change just as I was getting back into running
💍 Some things are worth stepping away from routine for. My cousin got married, which meant celebrations, meals out, late nights and enjoying time with family. My nutrition wasn't “perfect” and it didn't need to be.
🎒 A whole new rhythm for our family. My daughter finished nursery (we were still travelling to and from our old town) and she has just started Reception, bringing new mornings, new routines and a whole new rhythm to our days.
☀️ When even your normal routine feels too much.
We survived a heatwave! Some days energy was low, sleep was disrupted and cooking or exercising simply wasn't a priority.
And through all of it, I didn't tell myself I'd “fallen off track”. I didn't think, “I'll start again Monday.” I asked: “What is realistic for me right now?” Now that's rebalancing.
Because life isn't consistent. There will be holidays, busy weeks, injuries, celebrations, stress, poor sleep and things we simply can't plan for. If our idea of wellness only works when life is going perfectly, it isn't really supporting us. Rebalancing is what makes healthy habits sustainable.
It's knowing what to hold onto, what can flex, and how to adjust without abandoning yourself completely.
So as summer comes to an end, if you're feeling like you need to “get back on track”, perhaps you don't need another reset. You might just need to rebalance. 🤍
Rebalance Group Programme starts in 2 weeks!
