❤️ Birthday Bonus! ❤️

At Oasis Academy Limeside, we’re excited to introduce one of our many new rewards and initiatives designed to encourage and promote excellent attendance this year.

Our behaviour records show that some children are often absent on or around their birthdays — and we want to change that!

Instead of missing out, we want every child to celebrate their special day IN SCHOOL with their friends and staff.

Children are invited to come to school on their birthday wearing their own clothes so they can enjoy their day while learning and celebrating together. 🎉

If your child has already had a September birthday, they can choose a day next week to come in their own clothes and join the fun! 🤩

Attending school every day really is so important — every day counts!

❤️ The Birthday Bookworm! ❤️

Dear Parents and Carers,

Introducing the Return of Our Birthday Bookworm Initiative!

We are delighted to share that this year we will be relaunching a much-loved Limeside tradition, The Birthday Bookworm.

At Oasis Academy Limeside, we encourage children to celebrate their birthdays in ways that support learning and our school values. As sweets, chocolates and toys are not permitted to be given out to children on school premises, we would like to offer families an alternative way to mark this special occasion.

When it is your child's birthday, they are invited to bring a book into school to share with their class or our school library.

This book can either be gifted to your child’s class library or our school library or taken home again.

The choice is yours! This could be:
• A brand-new book
• A pre-loved book in good condition
• A book borrowed from the local library to share with classmates (which will, of course, be returned)

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to celebrate their birthday by sharing their love of reading with others and helping to enrich our classroom and library collections.

You can also write in a dedication in the inside front cover meaning your child’s gift will be recognised and enjoyed across our whole community of readers.

As a special thank you, every child who brings in a book will receive a Birthday Bookworm Certificate to recognise their contribution.

We hope that families will support this initiative and help us continue to foster a love of reading across our school community and to support our healthy eating agenda.

❤️‼️ School photo day ‼️❤️

Good afternoon everyone,

We have arranged for the school photographer to come into school on Thursday 1st October 2026.

The arrangements for the day will remain the same as previous years where all children will have an individual photograph and the option for a photo with their sibling who attends our school.

Nursery children who attend in the afternoons will be invited to school in the morning to have their photograph taken so please don’t worry.

We will share more information nearer the time, I just wanted to give you the date early for your diaries ❤️ 📷

🌟 Autumn 1 Clubs 🌟

We are delighted to announce clubs available to join for our first autumn term!

Monday:
🏀 Basketball, years 4-6
🎶 School Choir, years 1-6. FINISHES AT 4PM.

Tuesday:
🏐Netball, years 4-6
🪩 Just dance, Years 1-2
🎵 Reception Rhyme Time, Reception only

Wednesday:
🤸 Gymnastics, years 3 - 4
🌱 Gardening Club, Years 1-6

Friday:
🥎 Dodgeball, years 5-6

All clubs are completely FREE and will begin next week, after school until 4.15pm.
School choir is the only exception which runs until 4pm.

✅ To sign your child up for a club, please use the MCAS app!

Are you wanting to warm-up your multiplication magic and rock out ahead of the new school year?

📱 What do we do?
The Key Stage 2 TTRockstars Summer Slam went live this morning, and is waiting for our rockstars to log in using their usual username and log in and practise their times tables facts on the app or website on any device.

🏆 There will be certificates when we return to school for:
- Time spent on TTRockstars Summer Slam
- Accuracy
- Speed
- Overall Leaderboard

🌟 Huge Congratulations to Miss Mc Allister! 🌟

Yesterday, Miss Mc Allister attended her graduation ceremony after successfully completing her Masters in Education, specialising in Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health.

This is an incredible achievement and a testament to her dedication, passion, and commitment to supporting our pupils.

We are incredibly proud of her and all she has accomplished. Her expertise and drive make a real difference to our school community every single day.
