Was asked to take on this tricky coverup. I've learned over the years, that some just can't be done, but sometimes you can see a way around it, like on this old Oldham badge. Firstly, Shaun is a massive fan,and we've already done him a big Latics piece on his other calf but we felt this couldn't be retouched, so opted for a coverup..the client wanted a WW2 piece, and I felt the badge could kinda work as a helmet, with the edge being under the rim and around the strap..Thankfully the grey tones of the face covered a lot of the blue - and once this all heals, will be more black and grey, with a blue-ish tint..But with any coverup, its not guaranteed to all stay in on the first pass
