As we age, we naturally lose volume in the malar area (the upper cheek fat pads), which can cause the cheeks to flatten and contribute to the appearance of deeper lines and folds around the lower face. By carefully restoring volume to this area, cheek filler provides a subtle lifting effect, helping to support the surrounding tissues and soften the line visible in the before photo.
