A Day in the Life of an On-Call Carer

🕗 Shift Handover
Our on-call carer starts by logging in and reading through a detailed handover from the previous On-Call. This includes updates about clients, any changes in care needs, staff cover, medication reminders, and important notes to ensure continuity of care.
📞 Being Ready to Support
Before setting off, Our On-Call vehicle is fully charged 🔋 and checked over. So throughout the shift, So the on-call carer is available to support both our clients and care team. This may include answering urgent calls, arranging cover for visits, updating our cloud, so everyone in our team is instantly updated, supporting carers in the field, or responding to any unexpected situations.
🏡 Checking in on Clients
Our carers ensure every client is safe, comfortable, and receiving the support they deserve. Whether it’s coordinating visits, providing reassurance, or stepping in when needed, Random spot checks on our staff and Servicer users. The on-call role helps keep everything running smoothly and effective.
🤝 Supporting Our Care Team
Being on call also means supporting our dedicated carers who are out delivering care. From guidance to problem-solving, teamwork is at the heart of what we do.
📝 End of Shift Handover
Before the shift ends, the on-call carer prepares a detailed handover and updates the App for the next team member, of everything in detail that happened and anything that needs monitoring.
