🩸 NEW – PRIVATE HbA1c BLOOD SUGAR TESTING 🩸

We’re delighted to now offer private HbA1c testing at Fintona Medical Hall, giving you a quick and convenient way to check your average blood sugar levels over the previous 2–3 months.

An HbA1c test can be useful if you:

🔹 Have a family history of type 2 diabetes
🔹 Are overweight or concerned about your diabetes risk
🔹 Have previously been told you are pre-diabetic
🔹 Are experiencing symptoms such as increased thirst, frequent urination or unexplained tiredness
🔹 Simply want to take a more proactive approach to your health

What does the test involve?

🩸 Simple finger-prick blood test
🍽️ No fasting or special preparation required
⏱️ Results available during your appointment
👨‍⚕️ Confidential consultation and pharmacist advice

Your result will fall into one of the KP Pharma HbA1c ranges:

🟢 Normal: less than 42 mmol/mol
🟠 Prediabetic: 42–47 mmol/mol
🔴 Diabetic range: more than 47 mmol/mol

Where a result is raised, we can discuss what it means, offer appropriate lifestyle advice and recommend GP follow-up or confirmatory testing where required.
