🧬 Structured (EZ) Water & Physical Energetics

Structured, or Exclusion Zone (EZ) water, is a concept developed by Dr Gerald Pollack to describe an organised form of water that forms next to hydrophilic surfaces such as proteins, cell membranes and collagen. Research into EZ water explores how these ordered layers can exclude certain particles and create charge separation, potentially providing another perspective on the relationship between water, energy and biological tissues.

From a therapeutic perspective, Physical Energetics explores the idea that structured water may play an important role in maintaining the organisation and healthy functioning of cells and tissues. Trauma, injury and other stresses may disrupt the tissue environment and its normal organisation. Supporting the restoration of this environment is therefore considered within Physical Energetics as part of facilitating the body’s natural healing and self-regulating processes.

In the Physical Energetics course, BodyTalk therapists will explore EZ water in greater depth, including how exclusion zones are proposed to form in nature, how light and other forms of energy may influence them, and how these concepts can be incorporated into therapeutic practice.

Join us at An Creagán to explore this fascinating area and discover how Physical Energetics can bring a new dimension to your treatment table.

PHYSICAL ENERGETICS BACK IN AN CREAGAN

I am really looking forward to teaching this amazing class in An Creagan on the 10th & 11th October 2026. Below is a course overview which I would encourage you to read if you are looking to enhance your skills as a therapist whilst complimenting your already valued techniques.

Physical Energetics introduces a practical framework for working with the body's energetic organisation alongside conventional manual therapy techniques.

Throughout the course you will learn how to develop your energetic awareness, improve your ability to focus attention and recognise subtle changes within the body that often precede physical change.

A central theme of the course is the emerging understanding of structured (EZ) water and its possible role in supporting tissue organisation, communication and healing. Building on the research of Professor Gerald Pollack and others, the course explores how water may influence the body's structural integrity and how this knowledge can be integrated into clinical practice.

Participants will learn practical techniques designed to:

Enhance structural alignment and movement.

Improve communication within the body's tissues.

Support the body's natural self-repair mechanisms.

Integrate energetic awareness into existing manual therapy techniques.

Increase treatment efficiency while reducing physical effort.

The techniques are simple to learn and can be incorporated immediately into everyday clinical practice regardless of your professional background.

This course, whilst a course from the BodyTalk System, is suitable not only for BodyTalk students and practitioners, but for all manual therapists and energy practitioners. These include massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, craniosacral therapists and osteopaths, as well as reflexologists, Emmett therapists, Reiki therapists and all other energy therapists.

I look forward to you joining us for a weekend of learning, with a mix of information and practice.

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in understanding the relationship between energy, body structure and healing. Through a combination of theory and practical experience, participants will learn techniques to develop energetic awareness, explore the science of structured (EZ) water and gain a deeper appreciation of the body's remarkable capacity for self-repair.
Whether you practise craniosacral therapy, reflexology, myofascial release, massage or energy therapies, Physical Energetics provides practical skills to deepen your therapeutic awareness and enhance treatment outcomes.
I’m really excited to share this training, which will sharpen your focus on how you navigate your sessions.

Following on from describing how physiotherapists can enhance their practice using the techniques taught in the Physical Energetics class, I have added a short explanation of how Osteopaths can benefit from the class.

Osteopaths

Designed to complement osteopathic principles, Physical Energetics develops the ability to perceive and work with the body's energetic organisation alongside structural assessment. Through practical techniques, participants learn to support alignment, mobility and self-regulation while exploring the relationship between energy, structure and the role of structured (EZ) water in maintaining healthy tissues.

This course is unique in that it is the only course within the BodyTalk System that you don’t require a working knowledge of the BodyTalk System to attend. We teach the course in a way that it is applicable to BodyTalk therapists, but also manual therapists and energy therapists. Over the next weeks I will be explaining how this course can benefit therapists of differing backgrounds and specialties. And I’m going to start with a profession very close to my heart, physiotherapy.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physical Energetics helps physiotherapists refine their clinical awareness by integrating energetic perception with established assessment and treatment techniques. The course explores how subtle changes in the body's energetic organisation may influence movement, pain and tissue function, while introducing practical methods to enhance manual therapy. Participants will also examine the emerging role of structured (EZ) water in supporting tissue health and the body's natural healing processes.
