It takes two to make a baby šŸ‘‡šŸ»

If you’ve been longing for a baby, chances are you’ve already started making changes eating better, taking supplements, moving your body, maybe even taking medication to support your fertility.

But here’s the truth: it takes two to make a baby.

Even if you’re doing everything right, your efforts can only go so far if your partner’s s***m quality isn’t up to scratch. In fact, 1 in 20 men experience a serious reduction in s***m quality, and male factor issues are linked to nearly half of all infertility cases.

That’s why it’s so important that your partner is on this journey with you. Just as you’re working to balance your hormones and optimise your health, he needs to support s***m health so together you’re giving yourselves the very best chance.

Did you even know this about PCOS? šŸ‘‡šŸ»

There are actually different types of PCOS?
This is why two women with the same diagnosis can have completely different symptoms and why one-size-fits-all advice often doesn’t work.

Here’s a quick breakdown šŸ‘‡

šŸ”¹ Insulin Resistant PCOS → linked with insulin resistance, irregular periods, and higher androgens (like testosterone).
šŸ”¹ Post-Pill PCOS → periods irregular after stopping the pill, high LH compared to FSH, no insulin resistance.
šŸ”¹ Inflammatory PCOS → irregular cycles, elevated androgens, plus inflammation symptoms like IBS, fatigue, headaches, skin flare-ups, or joint pain.
šŸ”¹ Adrenal PCOS → irregular cycles, normal ovarian androgens but elevated adrenal androgens (like DHEAS), without insulin resistance or inflammation signs.

šŸ’” Blood tests (like stress hormones or CRP for inflammation) can give you valuable clues but you can start piecing things together by looking at your symptoms, too.

The truth is… PCOS isn’t just one condition. Understanding your type is the first step in finding the right approach for your hormones, health and fertility.

✨ Want help getting the right tests done? I’ve created a free fertility test guide that not only lists which blood tests to request, but also includes a discount code for Medichecks and explains what ā€œoptimalā€ results really look like.

Sam had been told her only option was IVF.

After two failed rounds already, the thought of going through it all again was overwhelming. šŸ’”

Her AMH was 6.0, the lower end of the normal range for her age and at her consultation, the doctor explained that IVF was her best chance of becoming a mum.

She wanted her baby so badly, and she was ready to sign up for another round immediately. But when we spoke, I asked her to do something that felt impossible at the time… to wait.

āļøTo give her body time.
āļøTo support her hormones.
āļøTo strengthen her egg health.
āļøTo improve her husband’s s***m quality.
āļøTo let her body feel safe again.

At first, she wasn’t sure. But Sam chose to trust me, and, most importantly, she chose to trust herself.

I’ll never forget our last session before she conceived. She was slightly, frustrated, and I told her gently,
ā€œIt won’t be long. I can see how far you’ve come.ā€

Because the truth is, everyone’s fertility journey looks different. Some paths are quicker, some take longer… but often, your body just needs time and care. 🌱

And then, everything shifted.
Two pink lines. ✨

Sam fell pregnant naturally.

And as if that wasn’t magical enough, her son was the most beautiful birthday gift for Sam, who celebrated her birthday the day after he was born, on the 23rd August.

Her story is proof that sometimes your body just needs the right support, the right guidance, and the chance to thrive.

šŸ’« If you’ve been told IVF is your only option, I want you to know this, your body can change. There are things you can do to improve your chances.

If you’re ready to explore what that could look like for you, DM me the word READY and let’s talk. šŸ’•

This changed everything ā¤ļø

I want to share Ellie’s story with you, because I know so many of you will see yourselves in it šŸ’›

In October 2023, Ellie miscarried at 7 weeks.
What followed was months of grief, fear and uncertainty.

She had a polyp removed in June 2024, her AMH was low (8.9), and doctors mentioned possible endometriosis. On top of that, she experienced sporadic pelvic pain, but no clear answers.

Ellie felt lost. She didn’t need another list of foods to cut out… she needed real support.

Together we worked on her hormones, egg health, reducing inflammation and, just as importantly, helping her rebuild trust in her body. ā¤ļø

And this year, Ellie found out she was pregnant šŸ¤

Her story is proof that even when the odds feel stacked against you, things can change.

✨ I currently have 3 spaces opening in my 3-month 1:1 coaching programme. If you’re ready for personalised support, comment SPACE below and I’ll send you the details.
