Every day, you go above and beyond showing compassion, kindness, and dedication in everything you do. You don’t just provide care you bring comfort, laughter, and companionship to our amazing Clients’ lives. The smiles, the conversations, and the genuine connections you create truly make a difference.

We regularly hear from our Clients just how much they value you how they look forward to seeing a friendly face and sharing those special moments together. That says it all.

We also want to recognise all carers whether you support a family member, a friend, or a neighbour. Caring takes a special kind of person. It’s a role driven by heart, often without expectation of recognition, but it deserves to be celebrated.

Many unpaid carers spend months putting the needs of loved ones first, often managing everything alone until they reach breaking point. But support doesn't have to wait until you're exhausted.

This , we're encouraging carers across West Lancashire and Chorley to remember that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

Our team recently had the pleasure of delivering Dementia Awareness Training at West Lancashire Borough Council. The session encouraged plenty of discussion and questions, helping attendees develop their understanding of Dementia and how they can better support tenants living with the condition.

We also enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Dementia Café in Ormskirk, hosted by Community Lives Matter. Everton Football Club legends Ian Snodin and Darren Griffiths joined the group to share stories from their time at the club, followed by a Q&A session. There was plenty of laughter, great conversation, and lots of smiles throughout the afternoon.

At Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley, we're passionate about raising Dementia awareness, supporting local communities, and helping people live well at home for longer.

💚 Thank you to everyone involved for making both events such a success.

Our team took part in Sling Training with Paul from Osprey Healthcare, giving everyone the opportunity to build on their existing knowledge and learn more about the different types of slings available and how they can best support safe, comfortable, and dignified care at home.

The session was engaging and practical throughout, with clear and easy-to-follow training materials alongside live product demonstrations that gave the team valuable insight into different products and equipment.

A huge thank you to Paul for delivering such an informative session, and for providing lunch for the team too!
