You don’t know you’re in the good old days when you’re in them. 💜

We spend so much time not stopping to appreciate what’s good right now. And then years later we look back and realise those were actually pretty good times.

So here’s the antidote.

Ask yourself today: what is good about right now? What am I enjoying about this period of my life that I might not notice until it’s gone?

Notice the good old days whilst you’re in them. Even for just a moment longer. 💜

Does your kindness include yourself?

Because if your kindness does not include yourself; it is not complete.

Progress is not a straight line. 💜

And if you measure your success only by results; you will lose motivation every single time the line dips.

The mindset shift that changed everything for me was this: focus on the work you put in; not the results it produces.

Work tends to equal results. But not always on a 1 to 1 basis. Not always when you need it to.

But if you can turn up and do the work every day; the results will follow. And you won’t lose momentum waiting for them.

I recently finished a book I absolutely hated. And I want to recommend it to you. 💜

The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene.

Almost every law in it made me feel genuinely uncomfortable. There’s one that essentially says “start a cult” if you want power. So that’s fun.

But here’s why I think nice people specifically need to read it.

Within two or three laws I started recognising things. That’s what certain influencers are doing. That’s what certain world leaders are doing.

If you’re a good person; you need to know how people without your ethics operate. Not to use these tactics. But to recognise when they’re being used on you.

Knowledge is your defence. 💜

I used to think being nice and being kind were the same thing. They’re really not. 💜

Someone told me a story that changed how I see this completely.

A person heads to a job interview. Everyone they pass on the way notices food stuck in their teeth. And every single one of them; wanting to be nice; says nothing.

Then the receptionist; just before they go in; quietly says: “you’ve got something in your teeth — you might want to sort that before you go in.”

That’s kindness.

Nice protects feelings in the moment. Kind protects people in the long run.

We talk about triggers like they’re always a bad thing. 💜

But triggers work both ways.

The smell of a perfume that takes you straight back to someone you love. Your favourite song arriving at exactly the right moment. A place; a taste; a memory that lifts you before you’ve even processed why.

Positive triggers are just as powerful as negative ones. They work just as fast.

The difference is we tend to stumble into them by accident rather than using them deliberately.

So think about what yours are. And use them. 💜

They say knowledge is power. But it isn’t. Not really. 💜

Knowledge is like a battery. It’s potential power. It sits there full of energy that does absolutely nothing until you put it into something.

Two people can have exactly the same knowledge and have completely different results. Because it was never about what you know.

It’s about what you do with what you know.

I was jet washing the drive and it hit me. 😂

Summer is coming. Which means it’s time for the most important piece of advice I will ever give you.

How to get a summer body.

Step 1: Have a body.
Step 2: Wait until summer.

Congratulations. You have a summer body.

Now the bikini body is slightly more complicated. But only slightly.

Step 1: Have a body.
Step 2: Put a bikini on it.

The first thing I ever wrote in a journal was “what the actual **** is the point in this. This is so stupid.” I was convinced it wouldn’t work.

Noisy head… busy schedule… no time. But I stuck at it.

After a few days however I wrote something that changed how I thought about it: “A little space creates a lot of room.”

Getting thoughts out of my head made it 2-5% quieter up there. Which sounds tiny. But that 2% made me more patient; more present; more able to enjoy things.

Compound effect. Over time. Massive.
