Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm. It’s lovely to see how much the community enjoys these festive sessions 💚✨

🌿 Wreath Making Update – December 2026 🌿
We’ve had lots of messages and emails asking about wreath making this year, so here’s everything we can share.

Due to changes within Friends of Rhyddings Park, things will be a bit different this year — but yes, wreath making is happening.

Last December, the community horticulture teacher delivered a beautiful late‑season wreath session (photo below from last year). We’re delighted to say she’ll be running three sessions this year:

📅 2nd December 9.30am - 12 noon
📅 4th December 9.30am - 12 noon
📅 9th December 9.30am - 12 noon

✨ Booking arrangements will follow in the next couple of weeks.
If you’d like to be added to the list in advance, you can email: [email protected] ****** with preferred date *****
Once final arrangements are confirmed, we’ll ask everyone on the list to complete a booking form to secure their place.

SPACES ARE LIMITED.

💚 These sessions will be free of charge for those living in locally.
☕ The café will be open with refreshments available to purchase on the day.

Thank you for your patience while we finalise everything — we’re looking forward to another lovely, festive season at Rhyddings.

Oh Happy Sign: Baby & Toddler Sign Classes

16/10/2026

What a thoroughly lovely day we’ve had at Rhyddings today! 💛🌿
After holidays and time away, so many of the team were back together — it felt wonderful.

This morning’s Horticulture Level 1 session enjoyed the garden and planted beautiful winter pots.

Charlotte brought the spooky fun with her Halloween‑themed Oh Happy Sign: Baby & Toddler Sign Classes — lots of excited little people! 🎃🧡

Our amazing Rhyddings Wombles were out in the park, keeping it tidy and welcoming, and of course enjoyed brews and cakes afterwards. Thank you — your efforts mean so much 🧹☕🍰

This afternoon, Fiona, Caroline, Diane and Katie were out in the garden and got so much done — the bean and sweetcorn beds are now cleared and ready for their next chapter 🌱💪

And over at Ossy Shed, the sleigh is looking absolutely awesome… Santa is going to be VERY pleased when he visits Rhyddings this year 🎅✨

Thank you to everyone who visited today — whether you came to the café, joined an activity or volunteered. You make Rhyddings special 💚🌿

📸 We even remembered to take some photos today — a small victory!

Thank you to everyone who’s kindly added donations to our foodbank basket this week. Your generosity means so much. The basket stays out year‑round, and tinned/packet foods, toiletries and cleaning products are always appreciated.

🌺 Our very first FoRP RBL Poppy Appeal Raffle is now live. Some prizes are already in the café, and the draw will be held on Saturday 17th October. Another raffle will follow soon…

👮‍♀️👮‍♂️ We were pleased to welcome PCSOs Anna and Andy, offering time for residents to chat and raise anything on their minds.

The day began with early café prep, then Zen Yoga, followed by the Art & Friendship Group. The Walk & Talk Group headed out and returned for hot chocolates, while inside we had Seated Keep Fit with Jen and Pilates with Jan.

The café was busy and cheerful — and of course, the famous Wednesday Cheese & Onion Pie didn’t last long!

Later, both Jan and Bernie return for Pilates & Zen Yoga.

A lovely, lively Wednesday in the park 🌿❤️
