Our Listening Café is a year old! 🎉

We started the listening café to bring people back together after two long lonely years of lockdowns, & give our community a space to talk about how they’re really doing.

We have played hundreds of games of connect 4, drank far too many coffees, and have met lots of inspiring, resilient people throughout the last year!

& now, we’re so proud to tell you we’ve been nominated for a BBC Make A Difference Award!! The Together Award is all about bringing people together - and that’s at the heart of everything we do. We want you to know that our mental health is easier to manage when we work on it together, as a team!

A massive thanks to for letting us use their beautiful space to welcome people, & for being so supportive of us from day one! To Phoebe and Charlotte for being our very first wonderful volunteers & to YOU, our guests, for helping us create a shame-free, judgement-free place for people to chat about their mental health. You are making a huge difference in your community & you should be so proud!

So - we’ll be where we always are, to do what we always do on the last Friday of the month. See you at…

🏳️‍🌈 We’re back baby! 🏳️‍🌈

For a second year in a row we have joined together with Knock & Snitch Oswestry to bring you Oswestry Pride!

This year, we have plans for it to be bigger and better! Rainbow shots, glitter everywhere, and the lovely Miss Tina Sparkle International Drag Performer as our DRAG DJ for the night!

As always there is an important dress code: Loud and Proud!
So grab your rainbow tee’s, feather bowers, diamanté bodysuits, denim hot pants and glittery eyeshadow! We promise you’ll fit right in!

Don’t forget to book your table with Knock & Snitch prior to the event, as It is a first come first serve basis.

We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!!

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week next week, and this year's theme is loneliness💚

After two years of lockdowns we all know what loneliness feels like, and what an impact it can have on us. Loneliness can make our mental health worse, and poor mental health can make us feel lonely. That’s why for the whole week, we will be taking over !!

We will be at Liar Liar Monday - Saturday from 10am - 2pm for a week of beating loneliness together! We can have chats, drink coffee, play some pool, sit and work next to each other for the day or even, if you would prefer to walk and talk… we can do that too!

So why not pop in and come say hello!

⁣Guess what... we're gay... SURPRISE!! 😂⠀

For us, le***an visibility day is every day because it's just normal life, so it's easy to forget we're actually a little unusual when we're out and about in certain places!⠀
⠀
Being able to be "visible" as an LGBTQ+ couple is a beautiful luxury, we know our lives would have been completely different if we'd been born in a different time or place. We are so grateful to be living in a time where we can be visibly a gay couple - living, socialising and running a business together and never having to keep our relationship a secret. If we wanted to we could even legally start a family and get married, something generations of LGBTQ+ couples could never have dreamed of. ⠀

We're so grateful that we can be "out & proud" but that doesnt mean it isn't tough out there for some of our LGBTQ+ fam. Realising you're "different" can be hard on our mental health, and we know that people in this community are statistically more likely to develop mental health difficulties. ⠀
⠀
SO! Whether you're out and proud, or in the closet, if you're still exploring or you're just trying to figure out who you are and who you fancy - we see you, and it's OK! ⠀

We're ALWAYS safe to come out to, we're here if you need some advice, and we'll happily point you in the right direction for support if you need it. ⠀
