🍂✨ WELCOME, SEPTEMBER ✨🍂
The first day of September… the beginning of a new month, a new season slowly unfolding, and an invitation to clear out the old and welcome in fresh energy.
There’s something magical about September. The light begins to soften, the mornings feel a little cooler, nature starts preparing to turn inward, and we’re reminded that we can do the same. 🍁
Today, I’m welcoming September with two simple rituals…
✨ Blowing cinnamon through the front door
Cinnamon has long been associated with abundance, prosperity, protection and good fortune. Stand outside your front door, place a little cinnamon in the palm of your hand, set your intention for the month ahead and gently blow it into your home — inviting abundance, opportunity, warmth and positive energy across the threshold.
🧂 Throwing salt out of the door
Salt has been used for generations within cleansing and protection rituals. Sprinkle or throw a small amount out of your doorway, with the intention of releasing stagnant or unwanted energy from your home. A little energetic reset before welcoming in everything September has to offer.
May everything that no longer belongs here leave with ease, and may abundance, health, love and opportunity find their way in. ✨
🌿 September is also Organic September 🌿
A beautiful reminder to become more conscious of what we put in and on our bodies, where our food comes from, and how we can live a little more naturally and sustainably.
For me, this month is about nourishing the body rather than constantly pushing it — choosing wholesome, seasonal foods, supporting the nervous system, getting outside, slowing down, resting when we need to and returning to the simple things nature has always provided us.
We’ve already begun our Autumn and Winter preparations in our home — nourishing foods, warming herbs and spices, seasonal produce, rest, fresh air and little daily rituals as we head towards cold and flu season. 🍯🌿🍋
Not from a place of fear, but from a place of nurturing and preparation.
As nature begins to slow down, perhaps September is our reminder that we don't always need to do more.
Sometimes healing looks like slowing down.
Eating well.
Sleeping deeply.
Walking outside.
Protecting our peace.
Nourishing our nervous system.
And remembering that we, too, are part of nature. 🍂
Welcome September.
May this month bring abundance into our homes, peace into our nervous systems, nourishment into our bodies and a beautiful reminder to live a little closer to the earth. 🤎✨
Here’s to slower mornings, autumn rituals, nourishing food and a season of returning to ourselves.
