We’re committed to keeping up to date with the latest developments in allergy care.

Marlene will be attending specialist training with the World Allergy Organisation on the growing impact of climate change on allergic disease.

As our environment changes, factors such as longer pollen seasons, changing air quality and increased allergen exposure are affecting more people with allergies and asthma.

This training will provide valuable insights into how climate change is influencing allergy trends and how healthcare professionals can better support patients now and in the future.

At Devon Allergy & Digestive Health Clinic, continuous learning helps us provide the highest standard of evidence-based care for our patients.

Met the wonderful Dr Alan Desmond last night at his book launch in Exeter.

We all know we should eat better, move more and generally look after ourselves better, his talk has made me a bit more determined to practice what I preach!

The Devon Clinic is organising a mammoth walk from Westward Ho! Right across to Paignton - 109km in 24 hours.
They are looking for people to join them or just sponsor them!

Take a look at the link for more details!

Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can’t — you’re right.

That quote has been shared several times, as we prepare for our sponsored walk from Westward Ho! to Paignton: 109km in 24 hours.

This walk is to help provide funding for the people we support every day at The Devon Clinic — those living with domestic abuse, complex trauma, severe stress or anxiety, low mood or mild anxiety.

At the time of writing, it's blowing a gale outside, the forecast is for rain, and I'm getting ready to walk 20+ miles from 9.00pm to 3.00am along the Tarka train in preparation for the long walk in a few weeks' time.
Most people will be tucked up in bed, but a group of us will be out in the wind and rain training for the big day. Because we know the long walk will be hard, but we believe we can do it

When we do the long walk, it’s going to hurt (no doubt about it), but it’s nothing compared to what many of our clients have had to carry — and that’s exactly why we’re doing it.
We’ve written a short blog about the walk, mindset, and what keeps you going when things feel too big.

We’ve noticed a few others doing a similar walk — honestly, if it helps more people, brilliant. If you do share it, please give a little nod to where it started.

If you can, please share the post — and if you’re sponsoring us, thank you. You’re part of every mile.
