It’s not all about breathing (although there will be breathing techniques!) but a full antenatal education about the physiology of the birth process, what to expect during all stages of birth, including preparation for induction, being faced with ‘special circumstances’, up to date guidelines, and how to keep the birthing environment on point!

This week, after a few months of unpacking a difficult birth earlier in the year, this lovely couple have reached out to share their birth story.

They had planned a home birth which unfortunately didn’t unfold as they wished, but Hypnobirthing is not just about the ‘perfect’ birth and is also about navigating the ups and downs of birth and making decisions that are right for you in that moment.

They felt that there were lots of positive elements throughout their birth experience put down to their Hypnobirthing education. They really worked hard and put the time in 💪

There were some real special moments during their labour shown in this photo- affirmations on the wall and birthing environment on point 🫶

✨ New birth story ✨

This couple reached out to me for a ‘power course’ in their final trimester to gain some knowledge of the birth process and to be taught tools to help with the sensations of labour, along with ways to feel calm and focused during birth.

Their practice time was cut short due to an early arrival, but all in all it was a positive experience regardless of the interventions experienced. They were faced with challenges but managed to navigate these well, making decisions that were best for them in that moment.
