Eye roll at the people who are saying youβre doing a s**t job at aftercare π these people clearly donβt get enough tattoos to know that this is quite possibly and more than likely a part of the natural healing process.
As someone who has traditional pieces all over their body and has gone through so much healing of large black and colored areas, Iβd say this looks like it could maybe be silver skin!
My tattoo healing always had a phase where the scabbing is gone but the skin itself is still healing and the ink looks a little βblurry.β This goes away once the skin is fully healed π
βSo after the initial scabbing phase has all flaked off you're left with what's called ``Silver skin'' which is a thin layer of fresh new skin that's healed over the tattoo and gives it a kind of milky look to it that dulls it a bit.β
Itβs just looking a little more rough for you right now because youβve still got some scabbing left along with the silver skin where other parts of scabs have fallen off.
So iβd say just keep cleaning and moisturizing at this point and wait for it to fully heal before freaking out.
