At Jubilee House we have three main areas of focus.
1. Empowerment for all women in the community to live their best lives
3. Holistic services, mental health and wellbeing. We believe that prevention is better than cure and we are working hard to raise awareness and change the face of domestic abuse throughout Scotland.

We were delighted to welcome the Bank of Scotland Academy to Jubilee House to deliver a day of practical, engaging workshops for the women. The day included their Budgeting Workshop, which focused on building confidence around managing money planning ahead understanding spending and developing practical skills that could be used in everyday life.
The women also took part in the How to Look After the Things You Love workshop which encouraged discussion around protecting and taking care of the things that are important to us including our homes, our pensions, and our health.
The visit provided women with the opportunity to learn in a relaxed and supportive environment and build confidence through asking questions about areas that can often feel overwhelming, particularly when rebuilding independence following domestic abuse.
We also enjoyed a lovely lunch from , which gave everyone the chance to sit together, chat and enjoy the social side of the day. It was a really nice addition to the event, and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Last week, our Tapestry Project group welcomed Paula from Renfrewshire Tapestry who joined us for a wonderful creative session.

The women had the opportunity to learn and practice a range of sewing and embroidery techniques, picking up new skills and ideas to help bring their own tapestry pieces to life.

It was lovely to see everyone experimenting with different stitches, sharing ideas and growing in confidence with their work. A huge thank you to Paula for giving her time, knowledge and encouragement to the group.

We can’t wait to see all of the individual pieces come together as our tapestry project continues!

We were so proud to have our wonderful Freya on the front page of The Sunday Post this weekend, standing alongside people from across Scotland in support of the It’s Time campaign to end violence against women.

Every day at Jubilee House we see the impact that domestic abuse and violence against women can have on women’s lives, families and communities.

Ending violence against women requires all of us , specialist services, communities, professionals and decision-makers, working together to challenge abuse, support victims and create lasting change.

We must all come together to end violence against women and girls.

We need services that are more proactive in supporting victims, a justice system that protects them, and a culture that challenges harmful attitudes.

As First Minister, I will give this my personal leadership.

Leaving an abusive relationship can be even more difficult when you're worried about what will happen to your pet.

Dogs Trust Freedom provides a free, confidential dog fostering service across Scotland, ensuring victim-survivors don't have to choose between their own safety and the safety of their dog.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post. You never know who may need this support.

Over the past few weeks, our Peer Support Group has been making the most of the wonderful summer weather while continuing to build confidence, friendships and new experiences together.

We enjoyed a lovely walk into Paisley, followed by a picnic in the beautiful surroundings of Paisley Abbey.

We visited the Paisley Art Department to explore the incredible Tapestry Project, which has given us plenty of inspiration as we begin planning our own creative project.

We were welcomed by the fantastic team at St Vincent's Hospice for a relaxing essential oils workshop, where everyone had the opportunity to create and take home their own personalised blend. We'd also like to highlight that many of St Vincent's Hospice's wellbeing activities are open to the wider community, so if you're looking for local opportunities to connect, learn something new or simply enjoy a welcoming environment, they're well worth exploring.

And of course, with the sunshine on our side, we've been enjoying holding our Peer Support sessions out in the Jubilee House garden whenever we can. Sometimes a change of scenery and a cup of tea in the fresh air can make all the difference.

We're so proud of these womnderful women for embracing new opportunities, supporting one another and continuing their recovery journeys together. Here's to many more shared experiences and making the most of what our local community has to offer.
