Are messengers, guides, protectors or mentors in the form of animal. They come to us not only representing a part of ourselves and our personality but with messages and guidance based on that animal. They act as a guide for self-reflection and personal growth
These animals choose us and can make themselves known in dreams, meditations or in nature itself. Their characteristics mirror our strength, weakness and natural instincts ๐โโฌ
Animals can have a different meaning depending on the context so it is up to us to find and understand the meaning of why we are seeing this animal
For example are you dreaming of killer whales trying to attack something or do you see them glide through the water? Another example is do you see an orange + black tiger compared to seeing a white tiger ๐
Because there as so many ways to interpret what an animal means and are trying to communicate to us, itโs important to look into the message in the context in which they appear and using your intuition is a good way to do that

These are symbolic representations of your animal guide in the form of a crest, a totem pole, an emblem or a small figurine,
They are life-long symbol representing core soul energy and often connects us to a particular spiritual lineage or soul tribe ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Shamans introduced the idea that every individual has an inner animal and throughout the ages this concept was woven into cultures and beliefs. In Indigenous cultures a totem symbolises a group of people such as a clan, family or tribe
It is thought a totem animal is with you for life both in the physical and spiritual realms. One that you can call upon for guidance and acts as the main guardian throughout your life ๐ฆ
The totem is the object that symbolises the totem animal. You can see this on totem poles which are commonly associated with Native American culture. The use of totems can be connected to every culture on every continent throughout history

Power animals, which can really be said for all animals, come to us in a specific period of our lives and in Shamanistic practises. Power animals are used as protection and also for guidance
By drawing upon your power animal this can help you connect to your inner/higher self and your intuition leading to connecting to ancient wisdom. Power animals can sometimes be mistaken for the native idea of a totem ๐ฆ
A Power animal is a spiritual protector that lends us its strength, courage or specific abilities when we need them the most and if we know and understand what each animal represents in the physical, we can call on them as a spiritual aid to support us and our energy
For example:
A Tiger represents courage
An Owl represents wisdom
An Eagle represents clarity
A Horse represents endurance
A Panther represents fearlessness
