Building a diverse balanced bowl🌈
The Formula:
✨sweet potato = complex carbs = energy
✨Veg, chickpeas = fibre = fullness
✨Tofu, chickpeas = protein = satiety
✨Olive oil, avocado = healthy fats = nourishment
⚡️Stick to the formula and this will help balance blood sugar levels = better energy, fuller for longer, satisfaction
🥣My bowl:
Roasted sweet potato + chickpeas: cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, salt and pepper
Fried tofu: tamari and olive oil
Chopped veggies: red cabbage, carrots, spinach, avocado, coriander
Rice noodles
Dressing: tahini, lemon, salt and pepper
🌈Increase diversity by:
Including 3-5 different coloured vegetables
Add in beans/pulses
Add different herbs and spices
Double up your quantities and take for lunch the next day🤝
