PILATES AT GLENTRESS - Classes start Saturday 13th June

Join me at Glentress Forest Cafe every Saturday at 8am for a fun 45 minute Pilates class that focuses on intuitive movement and is suitable for all levels. Enjoy a FREE regular hot drink after the class for the perfect start to your weekend

My aim is to create classes where everyone can move at a level that suits them. We will start with stretches and a warm-up, move on to a Pilates flow and then finish with a beautiful cool-down.

I've been practicing Pilates for around 15 years and teaching for 10. I pride myself on creating a safe and welcoming space for all levels, as well providing modifications for injuries, pregnant or postpartum clients. Everyone is welcome.

Classes are held in person The Glentress Forest cafe next to Alpine Bikes and are £10p/class. If the weather is nice we will be outside in the undercover area, or if not we will be inside the cafe. Forest-filled vibes either way.

Building a diverse balanced bowl🌈

The Formula:
✨sweet potato = complex carbs = energy
✨Veg, chickpeas = fibre = fullness
✨Tofu, chickpeas = protein = satiety
✨Olive oil, avocado = healthy fats = nourishment

⚡️Stick to the formula and this will help balance blood sugar levels = better energy, fuller for longer, satisfaction

🥣My bowl:
Roasted sweet potato + chickpeas: cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, salt and pepper
Fried tofu: tamari and olive oil
Chopped veggies: red cabbage, carrots, spinach, avocado, coriander
Rice noodles
Dressing: tahini, lemon, salt and pepper

🌈Increase diversity by:
Including 3-5 different coloured vegetables
Add in beans/pulses
Add different herbs and spices

Double up your quantities and take for lunch the next day🤝

It doesn’t need to be complicated or look pretty — nourishment >perfection✨

You don’t have to avoid snacks if you are ‘trying to be good’ – just snack smarter✨

If you are ignoring your mid-afternoon hunger and telling yourself ‘I’ll just hang on until dinner’, this can often backfire. When your hunger cues are ignored, your body speaks louder in an attempt to get you to eat

Instead of restricting yourself and ignoring the hunger, use a balanced snack to fuel yourself – it’s just another opportunity to nourish your body!

Balanced snacks = regulated blood sugar levels, maintain energy and reduce cravings✨
