Both saunas are on the move soon!

It's been a pretty special summer between Dale and Newgale — 2 beautiful corners of the Pembrokeshire coast, countless sunsets, sea dips and a whole lot of good people through our doors.

DALE
We're into our final week on the Dale seafront. After that, our smaller sauna will take a well-earned pause, and we'll be running a single sauna from Newgale throughout September.

NEWGALE
Our Heartwood sauna is moving a little further up the beach, settling back into its spot in front of Matthew Baker Caravans — just as it did last September.

Two locations change as the season begins to shift.

Meet the Summer Squad.

We're pretty lucky to have such a brilliant bunch of people behind the sauna.

Our host team brings together a wonderfully varied mix of experience — from yoga teachers and personal trainers to lifeguards and meditation facilitators — all with their own knowledge, energy and way of making a Wildwater session their own.

We're Scott and Lynch, the co-founders of Wildwater Sauna. For years, we've travelled the world together as filmmakers, immersing ourselves in different cultures, landscapes and ways of life.

Along the way, we became fascinated by the rituals people create around wellbeing, gathering and connection — and, more often than not, we found ourselves seeking out a sauna.

In Estonia in early 2020, we experienced the Nordic sauna tradition. Something stayed with us.

We began to wonder what it might look like here in Pembrokeshire — taking something ancient and Nordic and weaving it into our own Welsh landscape, culture and way of life.

The seed was planted.

6 years on and that little seed has taken us along countless coastlines, brought an incredible community into our lives and built a team we could only have dreamed of when we started.

And perhaps fittingly for two filmmakers, Wildwater has become a story of its own — shaped by the places we go, the people we meet and whatever comes next.

An ever-evolving story...

WHO’S READY FOR A SAUNA SOLAR ECLIPSE?

On Wednesday evening, the rhythm of the coastline meets something much bigger...

For 2 hours, the moon will pass across the sun, gradually changing the light over Pembrokeshire before reaching its peak at around 7:13pm.

There’s something special about witnessing a once-in-a-generation event from the sauna — a small moment of stillness beneath a solar system in constant motion.

The tides keep moving.
The earth keeps spinning.
The moon keeps its rhythm.
And for a little while, we get to stop and watch.

Wild, rugged and wide open to the elements.

Our larger 9-seater Heartwood Sauna is nestled into the cliffs at the southern end of Newgale, overlooking the vast sweep of St Brides Bay.

Pebbles beneath your feet. Atlantic air on your skin. Nothing much between you and the horizon.
Plenty of space to step away from the noise.

If you're looking for a little more solitude, a bigger landscape and a sauna experience that feels properly connected to the elements — this is the one.

DALE SEAFRONT
A different kind of coastal escape.

Dale is a picturesque seaside village tucked into a sheltered, east-facing bay — a world away from the exposed Atlantic coastline of Newgale.

Our original 6-seater Scandinavian Sauna sits on the grass above the water, with the village close by.

There's a little more life here. Sailing on the bay, people coming and going, and plenty of places to settle in for food or a drink after your session; The Griffin
