People often chat to me regarding their personal struggles with eating, both with and without accompanying body image concerns.

I love listening, supporting people and helping them to feel more understood; a recurring theme I observe is that eating behaviors are often inextricably linked to emotional states, responses to daily stressors, and complex personal rules that require careful understanding and management.

Many individuals express feelings of a lack of control and pervasive guilt. Often, generic advice from media platforms or TV isnt ineffective, leading to a sense of failure and perpetuating a negative cycle of self-perception and they're confidence to " do this".

If this sounds familiar I invite you to reach out. I will be hosting workshops in the coming months both in Fishguard Wintern House Health and Wellness and Pembroke to facilitate a deeper understanding of these behaviors, and I am also available for one-on-one sessions should you prefer a more private setting.

Creating meaningful resources is central to my professional practice, and I’m proud of the work I produce. During COVID—when the health service was under immense pressure and we were seeing a rapid rise in eating disorders and restrictive eating—my colleagues and I developed a tool to help parents and individuals quickly self-assess whether the limited food range was indicative of nutritional concern, if the range of foods was so limited that the individual was at risk of nutritional deficiency leading to health and well-being implications.

The project was born out of urgent need, and despite the intense pressures of the time, my wonderful colleagues and I carved out the space to collaborate—true teamwork!

It's incredibly exciting to see a seed you helped plant grow into a resource that becomes reviewed and endorsed by your professional body.
