Welsh 🏴 culture is deeply connected to nature.
Hiraeth speaks to our longing for belonging.
Cynefin speaks to the places, relationships and living landscapes that make us who we are.
The Industrial Revolution changed that connection. However, in North Wales, 🏴 West Wales 🏴 and communities throughout the nation, it remains alive.
Wales 🏴 is world-leading through the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act and has the potential to model social inclusion, social prescribing and Nature Connection throughout the British Isles, Europe and the world.
This documentary celebrates what Wales 🏴 is already creating through the Pembrokeshire Outdoor Health Project and Cynefin Green Health Hub.
It will preserve Welsh 🏴 values, community knowledge, lived experience and the wisdom of our elders while asking:
How do we honour our human responsibility for nature, the climate, one another and the Earth? 🌎
Caitlin and I have built CWS | Conversations With Svend through teamwork.
Every conversation and film is created through trust, relationships and people bringing their different skills together.
Caitlin’s work as editor and co-producer is central to the films, together with my work as presenter, producer and filmmaker.

We now want to bring that same spirit into a substantial Welsh 🏴 Legacy documentary: combining personal stories, filmmaking, academic evidence and lived experience across outdoor health, Green Health, mental health, Welsh culture and community.
This is about showing what is already happening here:
• People finding belonging through nature
• Outdoor activity becoming social prescribing and prevention
• Communities sharing knowledge across generations
• People recovering their confidence, purpose and connection
• Welsh organisations creating work that could influence policy and practice far beyond Wales
