When Asking for Help Just Adds More to Your Plate
You know that moment when you're carrying everything and you finally think, I don't actually have to do all of this myself?
So you ask for help. You pass something over.
And somehow… it ends up right back on your plate.
“Can you just remind me?”
“Send me an email.”
“If you do this bit, I'll sort the rest.”
Before you know it, asking for help has created more work rather than less.
And after that happens a few times, what do we do?
We stop asking.
We keep cracking on. Keep carrying it. Keep getting things done because sometimes that feels easier than asking someone else.
But what might that be doing over time?
And perhaps more importantly, would you notice this happening to someone in your team?
Does this sound familiar? I'd genuinely love to know what this looks like in your world. Pop something in the comments or reach out and let's have a conversation.
