Made from 100% local plants! I made this last year in Portugal from grasses, and I couldn't do it without making cordage (string) first.

String is SO underestimated, think of all the thungs we tie, connect and bring together.

I made this for my hosts at .da.coruja as a thank you present, as well as making string to tie 90 bundles of kindling for them.

That's one a day to light the fire through their winter. Oh, to have just 90 wintery cold days πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

There are SO many uses for your own, handmade string!

Cordage making workshops are on my website, the next one is at in Constantine, using plants from their wild and gently tamed garden.

What a joyous indulgence to take a day to learn, refine and create with these skills.

Come learn to make string from plants with me!

I love this process of transforming garden plants and weeds into something beautiful and functional.

Afterall, that's what our ancestors did; sustainably creating everything from the natural resources around.

It's meditative, satisfying, calming, useful, inspiring, easy once I show you how 😊

Come join me at where we'll harvest from beautiful plants and make together in nature.

Next dates:
Fri 15th May - Forage and Make Cordage (String)

More dates on my website too!
