BLACKBERRY RECIPES using the seedy pulp! Oh my, what a season, what a wild fruit, what a super food!

I've been using this seedy pulp for years, all those omega 3s and omega 6 oils shouldn't go to waste. 😊

I've used blackberry seeds in;
🍇 granola
🍇 bread
🍇 crackers
🍇 whole fruit jam
🍇 paleo dishes

Recipes are on my blog and in my foraging books (Devon one and Wild and Sweet)

BTW - the Devon book is relevant across UK and a lot of North Europe

What a day at with this lovely lot making bowls and mats out of local plants!

We foraged lightly in the gardens as well as used grasses I'd picked locally.

There's something very special about making from nature and sharing that experience with others, it's one of the highlights of my work.

When to collect grasses to make with...?

Now that the grass seeds have dispersed and before the grasses become to brittle is the perfect time to harvest them. 😊

I've designed, foraged and made another pot! As I'm still emerging as a maker and artist, lots of what I'm making stays hidden and I forget to share it.

Today is different.

Although I'm sometimes shy about what I've made, sometimes I'm also happy to show off. Today I'm somewhere in-between...

Materials: Daffodils, New Zealand Flax and Bamboo leaves.

All sustainably harvested, as always.

Would lovr to know what you think 😊

Creating with daffodil fibres! I wanted to share with you a little of the back story and why I'm so passionate about foraging the materials that I use.

I love being able to create a circular economy product, one that is local, sustainable and 100% biodegradeable. So satsifying and easy once you know how.

If you're interested in any of these daffodil objects, do DM me. Prices are between £100-150- plus p&p

Meanwhile I've still spaces on my cordage (string) making and coil pot making workshops in July and August. Booking details on the website.

Limited spaces available.

Making string from stinging nettles! Satisfying, strong and green!

Nettles is one of the many plants I teach how to forage and process to make cordage (string) from.

It's a peaceful, practical and simple activity that can calm the mind and soul, plus ypu come away with useful, homemade string!
