Congratulations to Amy Whitaker and Sam Moon ! πŸŽ‰

We're delighted to congratulate Amy and Sam on successfully completing their Mental Health First Aid training.

Mental Health First Aid equips people with the knowledge and confidence to recognise the signs that someone may be experiencing a mental health challenge, offer initial support, and guide them towards appropriate professional help when needed.

Just like physical first aid, it's about providing support when it matters most.

As part of their training, Amy and Sam have also learned about the Orange Button Community Scheme.

The Orange Button is a simple but powerful initiative that identifies trained members of the community who are available to listen, support, and signpost people who may be struggling with their mental health and thoughts of su***de.

The Orange Button signifies that the person displaying it:
🧑 Is OK to say and hear the word su***de 🧑 Can listen without judgement
🧑 Can support people through signposting to appropriate services.

At our organisation, we are committed to promoting positive mental wellbeing for the people we support, their families, and our staff team.

We're incredibly proud of Amy and Sam for taking this important step and helping us create a more supportive, understanding, and compassionate community.

Well done, Amy and Sam! πŸ‘πŸ§‘

🌟 Do you know an exceptional care/support worker who deserves recognition? 🌟

The Proud to Care Awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who make a real difference every day.

At our service, we support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives, but our role often goes much further than that.

Our staff build meaningful relationships, support people to achieve their goals, advocate for their rights, and provide reassurance and guidance to families when they need it most.

We see first-hand the dedication, kindness, patience and commitment our team brings to their role every day.

From celebrating achievements and creating opportunities, to supporting people through challenges and helping families feel supported and valued, our staff make a lasting difference in so many ways.

If a member of our team has had a positive impact on your life or the life of a loved one, and you feel they deserve recognition, nominations for the Proud to Care Awards are now open.

There is absolutely no expectation to nominate anyone, but if you would like to recognise someone who has gone above and beyond, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so.

To all care/support workers, thank you for everything you do.

To our Support workers at PRC, We see the difference you make everyday, the challenges you overcome, and the care you provide.
Whether or not you receive a nomination, please know that your hard work, dedication and compassion are recognised, appreciated and valued.

🚨 NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN 🚨

The Proud to Care Cornwall Awards are back! πŸ’™βœ¨

Time to celebrate the care workers who go above and beyond every single day across Cornwall - the ones changing lives with compassion, humour, patience, and heart.

We know they rarely ask for recognition… so let’s give it to them πŸ†

🌟 Know a care worker who deserves recognition?
🌟 A colleague who always goes the extra mile?
🌟 Someone who has made a real difference to a person’s life?

Last year the stories had us laughing, crying, and completely blown away by the kindness happening in our communities every day.

If you know a wonderful care worker, nominate them now πŸ‘‡
