A client said something this week that really stuck with me.
They came to see me with a musculoskeletal issue. We talked through their symptoms, carried out a thorough assessment, looked at the bigger picture, and put together a plan to help them move forward.
As they left, they smiled and said:
“Thank you. That was great. I feel like I’ve had a therapy session!”
It made me realise something.
What I enjoy most isn’t just treating injuries.
It’s helping people make sense of what’s happening in their bodies.
Aches, pains, and recurring injuries are often only part of the story.
Life, stress, responsibilities, confidence, sleep, training load, menopause, pregnancy, and work pressures all influence how we feel and recover.
My job is to listen, assess, explain, and help people find a way forward.
Whether that’s getting back to running, returning to the gym, managing an injury, navigating hormonal changes, or simply feeling more confident in their body again.
People want to feel heard, understood, and supported.
That’s the part of this job I love most.
