Our Operations Manager, Samantha, attended the meeting to give the voice of local disabled people in this area. If you are physically disabled and have anything you want to see improve in Paston, Gunthorpe or Welland, email [email protected] and type Pride in Place as the subject.

Last night, twenty-two people from communities across Paston, Gunthorpe, and Welland, got together at Honeyhill Family Hub to discuss the Pride in Place work that is starting in Peterborough and how we can connect and work together to make sure communities have a chance to have their voices heard.

As part of the Pride in Place programme in Peterborough, PCVS will be facilitating some community listening in both the areas receiving funding; Paston, Gunthorpe, and Welland, and Orton Goldhay and Malborne.

Mrs T call us up, not for help this time but but to ask us to collect a cheque. Our caseworker went round and was amazed to collect such a generous donation. Mrs T has been receiving support from us for over 6 years, she wanted to be able to give back to us. Fundraising is an essential part of our work as we need funds to be able to operate and we need it more than ever now, with our 3 year funding from the National Lottery coming to an end in January 2027. Our caseworker stopped for an hour while collecting the cheque to give this kind lady a little company 🥰 Thank you Mrs T from the bottom of our hearts 💕

Our Shopmobility team started a coffee morning at St John Church to see if it was needed……. And yes it was, we have linked a few isolated members and we want it to continue. Until we can find a central community space to use, we will be holding it at the Shopmobility offices situated on the 11th floor of the car parks. See poster for details
