Little Miracles is a parent led support group for families with children that have additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions. We run a purpose built centre at The Spinney, Hartwell Way, Ravensthorpe, Peterborough with daily support, play and advice sessions it would be great to see you there! The centre was built by DIY SOS and the community as part of the Children in Need million pound build special and we would like to say thank you everyone that made this possible. The Spinney is also used by other community groups and for details of activists aimed at children without disabilities please visit the Spinney page. Registered Charity Number : 1160178

We also have a forum that is more private for those who wish to join and a closed page please ask for more details.

💜 Somewhere the whole family belongs. 🌈

When Steph and Tom first came to Little Miracles, they were looking for somewhere their children could feel accepted and understood. What they found was so much more.

For Emily, Sophie and their family, Little Miracles has become a place where they can be themselves, build confidence and feel part of a community that understands them.

Their story is a lovely reminder of how much it means to find people who get it, where you don’t have to explain yourself and where the whole family feels welcome. 💜

🌈 Meet Michelle King, our CEO! 💜

Back in 2010, a simple coffee morning grew into something much bigger. Today, Little Miracles has 26 branches across the East of England, supporting families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

Michelle has been part of that journey from the very beginning, helping build a place where families can find support, understanding and people who get it.

We’re so proud of how far Little Miracles has come and grateful to Michelle for everything she continues to do for our families. 💜

We’re looking for an Admin Volunteer to help us with our day-to-day admin tasks.

If you’re organised, enjoy keeping things in order and have a little time to give, we’d love to hear from you! Your support will help our team continue to be there for families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

You don’t need to do something huge to help out. Giving a few hours of your time can be a really valuable way to support a local charity. 💜

💜 Baby Loss Awareness Week | 9th–15th October

This week, we’re thinking of all the families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss, and remembering the little ones who will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Grief can be a difficult thing to navigate, and everyone experiences it differently. If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember that it’s okay to ask for help, and you don’t have to face things alone.

At Little Miracles, our Counselling Team provides bereavement counselling and emotional support to families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss. We can also help signpost you to other support services if needed. 💜

A look back at September at Little Miracles. 🌈

Behind every number is a person, a family and a reason to reach out for support.

Throughout September, 103 individuals received counselling, 131 Family Support meetings were delivered, and 21 Specialist Family Support sessions took place.

Each figure represents time spent listening, helping families work through worries and making sure they have someone to turn to when things feel difficult.

We’re grateful to our team for the care they give to families every day. 🌈

Today is World Mental Health Day! 💜

When you're caring for a child with additional needs or a disability, so much of your energy goes into making sure they're okay. Between appointments, worries about the future and the challenges of everyday life, it's easy to put your own feelings to one side.

But you can love your child deeply and still find things hard, and you deserve support too. We know how important it is to have someone who listens without judgement and understands that some days are harder than others.

If you're struggling, please remember you don't have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for help. If you need support, please get in touch, we're always here for you. 🌈

This Sunday, runners from across Peterborough will be taking on the Great Eastern Run, and we’re so excited to see everyone out there.

Whether you’re taking on your first race, coming back for another year or running to raise money for Little Miracles, we’ll be cheering you on all the way! 💜

🌿 A big congratulations to Carol! 🌈

We’re so proud of Carol, one of our Childcare Team, who has now qualified as a Forest School Practitioner! 🎉

This means we’re now able to offer accredited Forest School sessions at Little Miracles, giving our children and young people more opportunities to spend time outdoors, explore, learn and enjoy being in nature.

We’re really excited to see where this takes us and all the experiences we can create for families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.🌳
