Bookings for this year’s flu vaccine are now open for those who are eligible.

Flu can be very serious for children, pregnant women, older adults, and people with long-term health conditions.

It is estimated that last year's flu vaccine prevented 104,000 unnecessary hospitalisations.

If you’re eligible for a jab, you can now book your flu vaccination online or through the NHS App.

The number of discarded drug needles being found on the city's streets decreased by more than 80 per cent over a 12 month period.

Between April and June 2026, a total of 173 needles were found across the city compared to 1,066 in the same three month period in 2025.

The 83.7 per cent decrease has been attributed to several factors including the continued use of needle bins and our ongoing work with pharmacies to hand out sharps containers.

It was lovely to visit the team from Clayton Pharmacy today in their new home in the Herlington Centre, Peterborough. They've had a difficult few months, but they're now looking forward to welcoming back patients, old and new!
