💉 FLU & COVID VACCINATION CLINIC – SATURDAY 10TH OCTOBER 2026 💉

Over the coming days, Abbeyview Surgery will be inviting eligible patients to book an appointment for our Flu & Covid Vaccination Clinic, taking place on:

📅 Saturday 10th October 2026
🕘 9:00am – 4:00pm

Patients who are eligible for both the Flu and Covid vaccinations will receive an invitation to book an appointment via text message or another appropriate form of communication.

Please note that this clinic is specifically for patients who are eligible to receive both vaccinations, and we will administer both the Flu and Covid vaccines during the same appointment.

We would kindly ask that patients only book an appointment at this clinic if they intend to receive both vaccinations. Covid vaccines have a very short shelf life and must be used within a limited timeframe. For this reason, we are initially inviting patients who are eligible for both vaccines.

Please don’t worry if you are only eligible for, or only require, a Flu vaccination. As in previous years, we will also be offering weekday Flu vaccination appointments with our nursing team, so you will not miss out.

Due to the number of concerns and complaints we have received regarding waiting times for appointments, we felt it would be helpful to share some information about the number of appointments that are missed each month when patients do not attend their booked appointments.

We will publish this information on a monthly basis to help provide greater transparency around appointment availability and the impact of missed appointments.

From next month, we will also include some telephone statistics to provide further information about the demand placed on our telephone lines.

We hope you find this information helpful and informative, and that it provides a clearer picture of the challenges we face in managing appointment demand.

💻 On Tuesday 25 August, Lincs Digital will be holding a free Digital Support Session at Crowland Community Hub.
The session is designed to help residents build confidence using digital devices and accessing online services. Advice and support will be available on a range of topics, including:
✅ Smartphones, tablets and laptops
✅ NHS services and apps
✅ Online forms and Government services
✅ Council services
✅ Internet safety
✅ Email and everyday digital tasks

We have received the following regarding Pilgrim Hospital - We are currently responding to a burst water main at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. We are working on a solution to reinstate the water supply as soon as possible.

The advice to patients with appointments is to attend as usual unless we contact you to rearrange.

If you need help but it’s not a 999 emergency, please use alternative services including your GP, local pharmacy or NHS 111 online or over the telephone for clinical advice, assessment and for direction to the most appropriate services for your treatment.
