KBS Sports Therapy East Durham's Premier Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation Clinic I am an MSc qualified Sports Therapist, affiliated to The Society of Sport Therapists.

KBS Sports Therapy offers high quality sports therapy and sports injury rehabilitation including:
- Injury Examination and Assessment
- Sports Massage
- Manual Therapy
- Mobilisations – peripheral and spinal
- Ultrasound
- Early/Intermediate/Late stage rehabilitation
- Gait analysis
- Postural and Technical Corrections
- Strengthening and stretching

I treat all muscular, joint, nerve and spinal conditions including sports injuries, postural corrections, overuse injuries and provide rehabilitation. I offer an integrated approach to injury management, where you will be assessed, treated and rehabilitated back to full performance. I will also analyse the cause of the injury and look to minimise the chance of further injury or reccurrence. Each injury treatment package will be personalised to fulfil your individual needs and requirements.

As a lot of my clients will know I'm completing a MSc in Strength and Conditioning for Performance and Rehabilitation part time over the next 2 years. Initially that will mean the clinic will be closed on a Monday from next week but long term it means I'll be able to offer a higher level of rehabilitation for all your injury needs.

What is TPI?

TPI works on the basis that every golfer has a swing that is right for them. Have you had lessons and got worse? Or struggled to implement what the pro has asked you to work on? Did it even hurt 🤷🏻

It's probably because your body can't perform those actions. TPI works on finding out what you can do and improving what you can't through exercise and movement correction. A 30 minute assessment can highlight your swing characteristics and then a full plan based on what you can realistic and achieve can be created for you.

I myself struggled for years playing off 13-14, hitting ball after ball at the range and seeing no progress. Now I play and practice less and have maintained a 10 handicap with a swing that would be better suited for a cricket field.

Course completed for TPI Level 1. Some very hard and complex theories but I've learnt things that will benefit all of my clients.

Quick trip to the Belfry Friday 8th July to make sure I'm comfortable with the hands on side and to take the final test. Then I'll be offering this assessment and body corrections to golfers of all ages and abilities.
