Some of you may have some questions about Stronger Me about CICs and what an Earth I’m planning on doing with it all ha ha. Here is a video I’ll add one with captions onto my stories. This idea 💡 was born in 2019 I can’t quite believe it’s taken 4 years to get off the ground but with working away for the last couple of years the stars have to be aligned right 😌

5 sessions completed ☑️ 4 yoga and 1 kickboxing. Today Darren from Hybrid Combat Gym volunteered his time and gave me a hand with kickboxing. We finished the session with nunchucks!
What an amazing week it’s been. I believe as teachers and coaches our job is to spread our chosen sport or art as far and wide as we possibly can reaching as many people as possible and sharing our passion.
This week in yoga saw some amazing group work of 🦎 on a 🪨 poses
Downward 🐶 on a 🪨 and downward 🐶 stacks as well as some superhero poses it was great fun 🤩

It’s finally time for me to tell you about Stronger Me CIC. It’s been a vision of mine for some time and now it feels like the right time to get the ball rolling. This is a CIC so it’s focus is on benefiting the community. I’ve put my years of working with people who suffer with trauma, my experience of fitness, yoga and wellness, martial arts and self defence experience into one place where I hope to help many people.
As well as usual fitness & yoga and courses that will be available for the public. There will be a focus on providing courses for survivors of trauma, hard to reach groups and the vulnerable.
There will be many updates over the coming weeks and months to keep an eye on this page.

Next week sees Stronger Me delivering Yoga for the PCC Fit & Fed program for local children which is very exciting 🤩 and will be the start of a very exiting journey ahead for this fantastic project.

Darren Hybrid Combat Gym and I (Carly from Stronger Me CIC) were recently asked to run a Self Protection (Self Defence) Course for University of PlymouthStudent Union on behalf of local students. Like any good self defence course there was a strong theory input as well as some good practical work by all. Our courses focus on prevention and don't involve complicated practical sessions, that quite frankly under an adrenaline filled situations either don't work or are so complicated students won't remember. This group were fantastic to work with.
