So this was a lovely review - what I actually said is "we aren't practicing anything ancient" after they were lecturing someone about they should follow the ancient ways not the internet!

And as you all know I'm never going to say Wicca is ancient 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This person doesn't know me and has never used our services 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Good afternoon Wytches, thank you for all your comments and messages of support, I've been blown away by everyone's response.

Many of you have enquired what I'm planning to do, at the start of the week I was planning to level the whole thing. I'm exhausted, my mental health sucks and Im 10 years into an Autistic burnout

However I had an amazing reading with Guided by Gaia Tarot - radical psychic, reiki master, witch at the start of the week, something that came up was "going back to an earlier idea/project."

Over the week an idea has formed in my mind, I'm not going to rush to find a new premises, and I'm definitely taking a break.

I've always felt like everything has been rushed, I had to shift and change things when the pandemic hit. Forcing me into more online services.

When I rebranded to the Cunning Grove I had more time but not enough resources. 3 years on I have more resources and I've learned a lot more skills.

Now I have the perfect opportunity to take all of our products to the ground and recraft them. Taking it back to our Celtic and Saxon roots, this time including a little local flavour. Bringing Tamara as well as honouring Plymouth for its Seafaring and Pirating past!

I have a Distillation kit coming next week, I'm looking forward to having a play around and coming with some new recipes. And learning some new crafts, I've had an engraver and a burning tool for about 5 years; time to put it to good use!

Definitely going to take self care during that time!

We will be continuing with our Coven, we've got an exciting programme lined up for next year. After the closes I will be doing a limited number of readings and workings.

We've still got 4 months and plenty of time to create new products and use up some old stock!

Lots to ponder!

See you all soon!!

Blessings of the Land Sea and the Sky!

Good afternoon Wytches, AI hallucinates again!

Whilst there are elements of the above that are true, it's considered respectful to leave offerings in exchange for asking for something for example.

The parts that really concern me "law of Authority", Spirits Dominating the Confused. I worked in adult social care for 2 decades, during that time I encountered many "Spiritual People" who would say how people with schizophrenia were untrained Shamans.

And always this appropriated piece drivel about how in indigenous cultures those with mental health issues are trained as Shamans. Which is false most Healers and Wise Folk would be able to tell the difference between an initiatory Crisis and a severe mental health.

As someone with Mental health issues who speaks to spirits, the conflation of the 2 is harmful to a group already stigmatized because of a lack of understanding.

Equally the "confused" point could be referring to those who are LGBTQIA- maybe the AI who wrote this is truly evil!!

If you're calling on an Inferno, Spirit, Angel, Deity ect know what you are doing, stand in your power and Sovereignty, but be respectful, that's not a law it's good practice and manners!

The law of Spiritual Debt, there's an interesting one! Here's the issue everyone talks about karma like it's a score sheet - it's cause and effect, if I drink my coffee (cause) my thirst is quenched (effect).

What people attribute to Good or bad outcomes has nothing to do with karma but merits and demerits - watch out or your demerits will get you, doesn't sound quite as terrifying as "karma's a bitch"!

I can squash this law in an instant - Trump, there's no way spiritual debt exists or he would never have made It to the presidency!

Equally Karma is a Hindu/Buddhist belief it is not in fact a universal law, so unless you're Buddhist Karma isn't a thing. The New Age movement peddles it around like it's a universal truth!

And if you want Magickal Spiritual Laws, check out the 7 Hermetic Principles, Ancient Teachings or modern Spiritual inventions? There's lots to explore, there was even a book written in 1908 "The Kyballion"

Good afternoon Wytches, I've been sat on this post for a few days not sure really how or what to post.

Last week I received an Eviction notice, joyfully my time here comes to an end on December 20th, however our last day trading here will be the December 10th. Giving us enough time to get all the stock and units out.

What that means for the future of the shop, at this stage I don't know, I do know until then it's business as usual, so get your butts down here and buy some authentic Magickal wares!!

I've said for a long time as much as I love the shop and our location, it's too expensive and felt like a trap!

And now I've been set free, so please don't be sad for the Grove. In whatever form it comes next the Grove will always endure!

I want to thank everyone that's supported us and come along with us this far, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would got here. And it thanks to so much love and support!

Let's see what the future brings!!

See you all soon

Good afternoon Wytches, I saw this earlier this morning, what I'm going to say might annoy a few, but that's ok, hear me out.

Druid Signs? Must of skipped this one in Druid Schoo. In Ceremonial High Magick we use Signs, such as the Sign of the Enterer or the Sign of Osiris Risen. These are Ritual steps not the Ritual itself.

I believe us Druids have a tendency to follow many different forms of Magick from Folk, to Ritual, Mild to Wild!

Prayers, Manifesting and Spells are all totally different!

Prayers - please God give me?

Manifesting - if I sit here and think about it long enough it will happen eventually!

Magick - Im calling on this God/spirit and I'm using these herbs and with my Will I command this to happen!

Magick whether Charm, Spell, Working or Ritual is a projection of one's Will into the mundane world to create change.

Also prayers are different amongst different Practices, I'm not in the habit of petitioning a Deity for something. My Prayers are for Reverence, Connection and Communication.

People Pray for different reasons, and Prayer is more in alignment with Meditation than it is with Magick, Rituals and Workings.

Words have meaning, they are Powerful, and they are Powerful when we use the correct terminology when referencing practices. It breaks down confusion and misunderstanding.

It would be easier to say that every Tradition has a central set of Core practices that define it's uniqueness. These Core Practices serve to centre the Practitioner into the Fundamentals of that Tradition. Each of those Traditions Practices are different in origin, nature and practice. Yet all seek to create meaningful change in some way.

I feel part of the confusion comes from how the "New Age Tradition" often appropriates into it cores practices from around the world and conflating it with something else. And sometimes it happens accidentally through shared experiences.

Burning bay leaves with intentions on them has now become "manifesting" "intention work", no love it's Fu***ng Folk Magick!

Witches, Wiccans, Druids and Magicians all practice Magick, in vastly different ways!!

Good afternoon Wytches, The Wildwood Tarot is my all time favourite and go to deck. This beautifully drawn deck is inspired by Celtic Pagan and British Folklore.

The Wildwood Tarot takes a detoured path through the wilderness, turning the traditional tarot on its head. Swapping Major Arcana cards, combining others.

With Court cards transformed into Animals from the British Isle and several of the suits renamed; Bows (Wands), Arrows (Swords), Stones (Discs) and Vessels (Cups).

Each Card represents a place on the Wheel of the Year, for example the Journey (Death) is placed on Samhain, whereas the Ancestor (The Hierophant) is placed at Imbolc. This only serves to deepen ones connection to the Cards and the Mysteries of this Land.

It's a truly amazing and potent deck, and it makes you work for it, but oh boy does it deliver! Perfect fit Spiritual Readings, finding ones life Path, and giving a Spiritual depth to mundane happenings.

£24.99 available in store.
