EBAss at EUBS 2026 - thank you, Geneva! 🇨🇭
The 50th Annual Scientific Meeting of EUBS brought valuable opportunities to share knowledge, reconnect with colleagues and contribute to discussions on education and safety in hyperbaric practice.
A warm thank you to everyone who took part in our General Assembly on 16 September. Your participation and continued support help shape the future of EBAss. Our Board of Directors also met that day to plan the association’s upcoming activities and discuss the next steps in our work.
On 17 September, we hosted the second edition of Hyperbaric Safety Talks as part of the main scientific programme. Moderated by Konstantina Gaitanou and A. Miszewska, the session explored staff safety, equipment use, simulation training, safety systems and human factors. Thank you to our speakers for sharing their expertise, to everyone who contributed to the discussion, and to the EUBS organisers for welcoming this session onto the main stage.
EBAss also contributed to the ECHM Consensus Conference, where K. Gaitanou delivered the presentation “Non-medical staff education and training”. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring the perspective of nurses, operators and technicians into this important discussion.
We also presented our research, “Enhancing Safety Culture and Clinical Competency in Monoplace Hyperbaric Practice” (P.38), during the poster session. This work reflects our continued commitment to education, teamwork and safety.
Beyond the scheduled meetings and sessions, we valued the conversations and exchange of experiences with colleagues from different centres and countries. Thank you to the organisers, our members and everyone who spent time with us in Geneva.
We look forward to continuing this work together, supporting the people who deliver hyperbaric care every day. ☺️
