We’ve had a lovely couple of days filled with fresh air, good company and plenty of fun! 💚

Yesterday, we headed out to Saltram for a wonderful morning enjoying ice creams, delicious scones and a little duck feeding! 🦆🍦 We also had a wander around the beautiful grounds, taking in the scenery, having plenty of good chit-chat and enjoying the opportunity to stop and chat with members of the community. It was a lovely way to spend the day! 🌳☀️

Then today, we were entertained by the fabulous Katy from Music Makers. There was plenty of music, smiles and singing along 🎶💃

A lovely day out on the Hoe today! ☀️🌊🍦

We enjoyed some ice cream and someone fancied a tasty pasty - which of course, attracted a few little birdies who came to visit and nibble on a few pieces of crust! 🐦🥟

We then stretched our legs and ventured across the Hoe, taking in the lighthouse and monuments before hopping on the bus home 🚌

A lovely day out at Strawberry Fields yesterday! 🍓☕️
We enjoyed the lovely atmosphere, plenty of good chit-chat around the table, and then decided to head out onto the Moors for a short walk 🌿

We even picked a few blackberries along the way - and, of course, there was time for a few wheelchair races! 😂🏁

And to make the day even more special, we celebrated our lovely Mary’s birthday! 🎂🎉❤️

This morning we got creative with a space-themed arts and crafts session in celebration of the solar eclipse! 🌞🌑

Our residents explored their creativity using a range of different media and techniques, encouraging experimentation, self-expression and plenty of imagination along the way. Each person created their own unique space-inspired masterpiece! 🪐⭐️

Earlier this week, Torr and Bell Torr had their turn celebrating Tea Week - and today, it was Glentor’s turn! 🫖💕

Our residents enjoyed a lovely sensory tea experience, smelling and tasting a selection of different teas before finishing with the most important part… a good old-fashioned cuppa! ☕️

Some residents weren’t too impressed with the different aromas and were quick to turn their noses up 😂, while others thoroughly enjoyed the experience, finding the smells refreshing and welcoming.

The cute little china cups were also a big hit and made the experience feel extra special! 🥰

Celebrating International Tea Week! 🫖☕️🍵🍰

Today we enjoyed a lovely tea-themed activity, exploring the wonderful world of tea through our senses. We had lots of fun smelling a variety of different tea flavours and chatting about the ingredients, aromas and tastes we could identify. Some were definitely more popular than others!

We also put our skills to the test with a fun game of throwing tea bags into cups and saucers, followed by some interesting tea facts ☕️🎯

Another wonderful week at Torr Home! 💚🏡

We've been making lots of lovely memories together, starting with a fantastic visit from the talented Neil the singer, who had everyone singing along and smiling 🎶

Our Activities Coordinators then swapped their usual roles to become ice cream ladies for the afternoon, serving delicious ice creams to all the residents and staff 🍦

We also had the privilege of celebrating our lovely Joyce's 102nd birthday – what an incredible milestone! 🎉🎂

Today we enjoyed puzzles and concentration games, keeping our minds active while having lots of fun together 🧩
