Today’s cord cutting session was truly beautiful, and I felt honoured to hold that space.

We began with Cornish mango tea and a guided journaling exercise. Research shows that writing down difficult thoughts and emotions can help organise experiences, reduce emotional overwhelm, and lower the intensity of distress by moving thoughts from the mind onto paper. Once complete, the pages were folded away, there was no need to revisit them.

We then moved into a cord cutting visualisation with inner child and parts work, reassuring the younger part that had worked so hard to stay safe that it could finally rest.

Next came an Emotional Detox session.
By gently moving in and out of hypnosis, the client had time to process and release old emotions, thoughts, images and sensations that were no longer serving them.

In a forest visualisation, they said everything that needed to be said. Any remaining memories were placed into a small barrel fire and watched as they disappeared.

We finished with a gentle introduction to breathwork. Combining hypnotherapy and breathwork supports healing on three levels, the mind, the body, and the spirit, helping create change cognitively, physically and emotionally.

At the end of the session, they wrote one word on their tag ✨ Safe ✨

And that one word said everything.

NEW Sunday Rooftop RESET 🧡

As we head into summer, many of us naturally spend more time outdoors. The days are longer, the weather is warmer, and weekends become filled with trips to the beach, barbecues, holidays and family time.

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that people often assume they should feel better simply because the sun is shining. Whilst sunshine can certainly boost our mood, our mental wellbeing still needs attention and care throughout the summer months.

With that in mind, I’m excited to announce the launch of the Sunday Rooftop RESET, starting on 21st June.

To make support more accessible and affordable during the summer, these sessions will move outdoors onto the rooftop. Simply bring your own mat, find a comfortable spot, and allow yourself 50 minutes to switch off from the noise of everyday life.

The Rooftop RESET combines elements of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and meditation, carefully woven together to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and give your mind the opportunity to recharge.

This is your time. Fifty minutes away from the demands, pressures and responsibilities that so often pull us in different directions.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or simply need a moment to breathe and reconnect with yourself, these sessions are designed to support your emotional wellbeing throughout the summer season.

Running from 21st June through to mid-September, the Sunday Rooftop RESET offers a chance to begin each week feeling calmer, clearer and more connected to yourself.

I can’t wait to welcome you onto the rooftop and help you create a little space for yourself this summer.

Because mental wellbeing isn’t just for the winter months. It’s something we deserve to prioritise all year round. ☀️

I absolutely LOVE my sessions, especially when men who once walked through my door carrying anger, frustration, stress, or old emotional wounds come back for a “top up.” It’s not because they’ve failed, it’s just because life happens. Sometimes those old feelings start bubbling back up after too long away from therapy, and they have the tools to recognise it before it consumes them again. That kind of self-awareness? That’s genuine growth.

Today, after a hypnotherapy session, one of my clients moved from the couch to my deck of cards, what he lovingly calls my “woo woo witch stuff.” 🧙‍♀️✨ Out of all the cards he could have possibly pulled, he picked the one connected to anger. It was the only card in the deck mentioning it, and the exact emotion he came in carrying today. He left looking at me like I’m hiding a cauldron and a broom somewhere in the practice.

But here’s the thing. You truly are what you consume. Your brain listens to all of it, the people around you, the music you listen to, the words you speak, the thoughts you repeat, the relationships you stay in, and the content you scroll through. Your subconscious mind doesn’t always know the difference between what is true and what is just repeatedly told to it.

So if you’re struggling right now, start changing the language you use about yourself. Start changing the thoughts you feed your mind, even before you fully believe them.

The simple act of visualisation works because the subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a vividly imagined event and reality. When you visualise being strong and stable, your brain translates that mental image into a physical feeling of calm.

Try this “Roots” Visualisation
Close your eyes. Imagine thick, ancient roots growing from the bottoms of your feet, pushing deep through the floor and locking into the unshakeable centre of the earth. Let any anxious or heavy energy in your body flow down and dissolve into the soil.

Do any of these survival mode responses ring a bell with you?

A lot of people don’t realise that burnout, anxiety, stress and trauma can show up in really subtle ways.

Not decorating your home properly.
Feeling guilty for resting.
Emotional eating.
Struggling to commit to plans because you don’t know how you’ll feel.

Your nervous system can get so used to being in protection mode that calm can start to feel unfamiliar.

This is why I love hypnotherapy so much.
It’s very different to traditional talk therapy. We’re not sitting reliving everything over and over again. It’s about moving forward gently and safely.

We work with the subconscious mind, the part of the brain responsible for habits, emotional patterns and automatic responses, while also understanding the science behind stress, repetition and nervous system overload.

Through hypnosis and nervous system healing, the body can begin to feel safe again. And when that happens, people often notice they sleep better, think clearer, feel calmer and stop living in constant fight or flight.
