Who says care has to happen at home? There’s a common misconception that when someone receives care, all their support has to take place within the four walls of their home.

Recently, one of our Community Carers took a service user out for a game of bowling. A chance to enjoy some friendly competition, good company, and a change of scenery! 🎳

A little thank you for all the extra you do...

Being a Community Carer is about so much more than providing practical support. It’s about taking the time to listen, offering reassurance, noticing the little things, and helping someone feel comfortable, valued, and cared for in their own home.

We recently received a touching message of thanks from the family of a service user who sadly passed away.

The family wanted to recognise the care and kindness shown by our team while supporting their loved one, a reminder of just how much compassion, patience and dedication can mean to a person and their family during a difficult time.

For our Community Carers, it is a privilege to support people in their own homes and to be there for families when they need it most.

We’re incredibly grateful for these kind words, and we're proud of our Torbay and South Hams team for the care they provide every day.

Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time. 💙
