Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, 4-10 May, is a week-long campaign led by Perinatal Mental Health Partnership (PMHP UK). It is dedicated to talking about mental health problems before, during and after pregnancy.
The week is all about:
➡ raising public and professional awareness of maternal mental health problems
➡ advocating for women and families impacted
➡ changing attitudes
➡ helping people access the information, care, and support they need to recover.
For support, The Perinatal Mental Health Team at Livewell Southwest, West Devon and Cornwall work to prevent, detect, and manage mental health problems that can be complicated by pregnancy and the postpartum period.
