💚 Free Assistive Technology Available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People in Cardiff & the Vale!
Do you:
✔️ Have hearing loss or are Deaf?
✔️ Live in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan?
✔️ Find certain situations at home challenging because of your hearing?

Thanks to funding from the Cardiff & Vale Regional Partnership Board and Welsh Government, Action Deafness Cymru can provide free assistive technology to help you stay safe, connected and independent at home.

This could include:
🔔 Doorbell and smoke alarm alert systems
📱 Amplified telephones and personal listeners
⏰ Vibrating alarm clocks and other helpful technology
🏠 Other equipment to support you around your home
📅 Applications are now open for Window 2 of 3!

Please note: equipment will be ordered from the beginning of November, with delivery expected from mid to late November.

As part of Meithrin Natur - Nature Nurture, we’ve created a BSL-accessible questionnaire to help us understand what Deaf and hard of hearing families need from nature-based activities and outdoor well-being opportunities.

The questionnaire includes BSL videos throughout, created by Kathryn and Lindsay and added by Sally, to make it as accessible as possible. 💚

We’re particularly looking for families with children aged 0-5 across RCT & Wales. Your experiences and ideas will directly help shape our proposed five-year Meithrin Natur programme.
