💚 Free Assistive Technology Available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People in Cardiff & the Vale!

Do you:
✔️ Have hearing loss or are Deaf?
✔️ Live in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan?
✔️ Find certain situations at home challenging because of your hearing?

Thanks to funding from the Cardiff & Vale Regional Partnership Board and Welsh Government, Action Deafness Cymru can provide free assistive technology to help you stay safe, connected and independent at home.

This could include:
🔔 Doorbell and smoke alarm alert systems
📱 Amplified telephones and personal listeners
⏰ Vibrating alarm clocks and other helpful technology
🏠 Other equipment to support you around your home
📅 Applications are now open for Window 2 of 3!

Please note: equipment will be ordered from the beginning of November, with delivery expected from mid to late November.

💚 Wales Working Together – National Community Wellbeing, Su***de & Bereavement Conference 2026

This Friday, 9 October, Wales will come together at Cardiff City Stadium for the National Community Wellbeing, Su***de & Bereavement Conference 2026.

The conference brings together charities, community organisations, professionals and public services to connect, share experiences and strengthen support around su***de prevention, mental health, trauma and bereavement.

🤝 At Action Deafness Cymru, we know how important it is that Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing people are included in conversations around wellbeing and mental health, with support that is accessible and inclusive.

Our CEO, Craig Crowley, will be attending and presenting at the conference, helping to ensure Deaf communities are part of the wider conversation across Wales.
