☀️🌸TATTOOS IN THE SUN 🌸☀️

Thank you all for keeping our studio so busy, and full of life this summer so far, we are coming at you this afternoon with some tattooist advice on how to approach tattoos in the hot season!

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT If you are coming to your tattoo appointment on a hot day, please hydrate by drinking lots of water and eating a decent meal beforehand.

HOLIDAYS🏝️ Going on a hot summer holiday? Sunbathing and swimming? We recommend allowing 3 weeks of healing time for your tattoos BEFORE going on holiday. After your holiday, if your skin is dry, peeling or burned, we may not be able to tattoo you (which results in a lost deposit)

THE SUN ☀️ We recommend keeping out of direct sunlight as much as possible for at least 3 weeks following new ink, and do NOT use suncream for the first three weeks. On healed tattoos always use factor 50 if your tattoos will be in the sun.

SWIMMING 🏊 🌊 We recommend avoiding swimming for at least 3 weeks after getting your new ink, to avoid infections or interrupting the tattoo healing process. This applies to swimming pools and any body of water within nature.

FAKE TAN🌞- Before getting tattooed please make sure the area being tattooed has NO fake tanning products on. Also avoid putting any new products besides tattoo aftercare on your healing tattoo for at least 3 weeks!
