Do you eat pastries for breakfast?
Pastries are desserts.
Also, if gluten is a problem, it’s best to avoid foods made with gluten-containing flour (wheat, rye and barley).
I have an autoimmune condition (vitiligo) and choose to avoid gluten.
For many autoimmune conditions, gluten can trigger inflammation, damage the gut lining and overstimulate the immune system so removing it can help reduce flare ups and support healing.
What I had instead:
2 egg & cheese omelette with tomatoes and a pot of cottage cheese (40g of protein!)
Why protein in the morning?
Starting your day with protein helps to:
• Balance blood sugar & reduce cravings
• Support muscle mass (so important in post-menopause)
• Keep you fuller for longer
• Support hormones & mood
For women like me in post-menopause, protein is essential for strength, recovery and long-term health.
If you have been enjoying a lot of pastries, cakes or ice cream this summer…
I’m starting my 5-Day Fasting Mimicking Programme on 27th September (its fasting with food!) DM for more info.
This simple reset helps to:
Reset your metabolism
Reduce inflammation
Lose weight *fat not muscle
Improve energy & mental clarity
Balance blood sugar
Support cellular repair & longevity
