Same exercise, different result.

This is why training with intent is key.

A few subtle changes of joint positioning can bias either the quad or the glutes.

What’s also important to consider, is repetition of the movement over time will improve your efficiency.

Only doing it once and thinking that “you don’t feel it” (which will likely happen), is pretty pointless.

It’s a skill.

Like learning to ride a bike.

So start implementing and get practicing😎

This post has came at a good time.

Yesterday when I was dropping off my photoshoot client, a wave of gratitude bestowed upon him.

And he opened up about how if he didn’t take action last year, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

A new lifestyle.
New relationships.
Better career success.

All because he accepted the need for change and took action.

Yes the new physique is the primary driver, but we sometimes take for granted the surrounding benefits it has on our life.

If you’re in the same position as last year - it’s a sign something needs to change.

And you have to have the courage to say “yes” to help.

1000 posts. Who woulda thought?

A lot of lessons learned along the way.

What I thought would be most applicable to you would be my summary of health & fitness advice, because.. that’s what I’ve been specialising in the past 6 years🫠

It goes without saying, this is generic advice and nothing will ever compete with individualised assessment and programming.

I’m sure I’m missing a few golden nuggets.. 10k steps, sleep duration, micronutrients etc.

But only so much that can be squeezed into a minute😅

Some great food hacks in there btw. Those rice cakes are the best you’ll get🔥

Few notes for context:

- I eat intuitively, then track food once I know I need to tighten up
- Every ingredient has a purpose
- Years of muscle building has allowed me to improve insulin sensitivity making it easier for me to lose fat with more food
- I don’t carb cycle
- Steps average 14k
- Zoe cooks, I clean.
- Main meals vary, surrounding snacks and meals remain consistent
- My energy is great, my sleep has improved a lot this year, rarely get sick
- No noticeable decrements in training performance. Yet.
- Digestion fine
- Caffeine on the higher end, reluctant to pull back
- Off plan eating happens now and then, maintaining boundaries sustains pace of weight loss
- 3.5kg down, body fat % wasn’t high to begin with

I’m me, you’re you.

This is my dietary set up after years of trial & tribulation, still with improvements to make I’m sure.

Use this as inspiration and ideas, not a copy and paste.

One man’s medicine could be another man’s poison😄
